For guests in Switzerland

Always full (lunch and dinner), needs reservation. Very good local dishes with good beer but some kind of expensive. We go there always with guests...

This sausage house offers a great and wide ranging menu selection. All of the food is really tasty and the prices (for Zurich) are quite reasonable. The atmosphere is fun, casual and welcoming. Good for a couple people, a big group or family. The waits aren't too long either. A definite must-go.

Not worth what we spent. We wanted a classic local meal and that's what we got. Just didn't expect the outrageous check. Apparently Zurich is very expensive. There were three of us, with your average, what we would consider maybe a dinner plate, one beer, two waters and one roll that we didn't know they charge you to eat. The... More

Very good place to eat in the hart of Zurich city. Very taste courses. Nice service with pleasant atmosphere. There are tables outside in the silent street and a sunny day makes it a perfect place to have the meal. Very recommended !

This place is a German-style brasserie, always full of people (better make a reservation), offering Zurich specialties such as Geschnetzeltes (veal with cream mushrooms and potato roesti, a great treat) together with an incredible choice of sausages from every corner of Switzerland. The house beer is very good. Prices are most reasonable for Zurich. This is my third visit to... More

An excellent place to have some good sausage and beer. I would propose that you try the sausage by meter, with the famous Kartoffelnsalad instead of fries. The salads are also tasteful and generally it's a very warm place to be!

Grabbed an outside table in the sun for a quick lunch during a personal walking tour of Central Zurich. Menu looks appealing so I picked the "tender and juicy pork roast" and paid extra for rosti instead of potato salad. The pork was neither nor juicy but rather tired and dry, the laxadasical brown sauce didn't help much. The rosti... More

We ate here for lunch on one of our last days in Switzerland. This was one of the best restaurants we stopped in during our two weeks. My husband and I each picked an entree and then we split. We had perch and the House sausage accompanied by potato salad and the Rositi (sp?) giant hashbrown everything was great and... More

This restaurant is just off the main Bahnhofstrasse, and has a colorful history. It is in a building built in 1347 and formerly housed an armory. The walls are adorned with various arms, swords, and spears as an homage to its past. The food is typically Swiss; the crowd was an interesting mix of local business people and tourists. Service... My wife and I recently drove thru Switzerland on the way to Germany from France. Getting off the autobahn for a trip to downtown Zurich just to visit a restaurant was a little daunting. Our side trip was definitely worth the effort. My meal (roast wild boar) and my wife's meal (medallions of fallow deer) were among the greatest German... More
