If you are around Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich it's ok to try this location but in case you spotted another place in the near by then go for it because you don't lose anything... To be more specific, the offer is fat and may be some of you will not like it. So 3 stars. For the others is a go.... More

My friend and I ended up here for dinner on the recommendation of our hostel owner. We didn’t make a reservation beforehand, but despite it being pretty packed they squeezed us onto the end of a long table. The restaurant features a large open space with an assortment of weapons decorating the walls, including a huge anti-aircraft gun over the... More

If you ever wanted to try the Swiss sausage specialties, like a big "Wienschnitzel" or just like to have a beer and some good food, this is the place to visit. I always like to go there and whenever I have guest from other countries, I recommend this place. The atmosphere is more like a beer hall, so romantic dinner... More

a great place to enjoy a meal in a historical armory! Built in 1487, Zeughauskeller means weapons & armaments were stored here; however in 1926 it became a social meeting place in which to eat & the weaponry was only decor on the walls. The food is typical hearty fare with meats, sausages, and the famous Swiss rosti. Always an... More

Zeughausskeller is a very nice traditional restaurant in the centre of Zurich. Uncomplcated( rare for Switzerland) with kind and good service( also rare for Switzerland). Nice food in reasonable prices. A must go in Zurich.

We ate here on a sunny spring lunchtime. Despite the weather there were very few restaurants who had outdoor tables, so we ate here as this was the first one we found with a free table. It was a lucky choice. Food is traditional Swiss, of an above average quality. I had a the salad platter and my wife the... More

This was our second visit to the restaurant having eaten there 32 years ago! We loved it then and again this time. It's a venerable Zurich institution having been there forever and so offers classic Swiss dishes and great beer (wine too) . This is heavier style food, sausages, potato salad, sauerkraut etc. simple and well done, not your light... More

I went to this restaurant with a group of friends for an authentic meal. We received wonderful dishes and beers. The waiter was sooooo very friendly. We intend to return to this restaurant with a larger group of friends before we return home.

The staff were more than friendly. We had such a wonderful time just enjoying the whole feel of a traditional Swiss dinner. We sat with other guests and had delightful conversations. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys a relaxing and casual evening but in an amazing venue that has such an interesting history.

This is a really rustic, typically Swiss restaurant with excellent peasant/traditional food. A must while in Zurich!
