Typical Swiss keller, with a bizarre collection of weapons on the walls. Very good food, from classic veal in mushroom sauce to various sausages. I appreciate the lever fried in the butter. Tasteful beers, while I didn't try the wines. Rapid and professional room service.

We happened to be around the neighbor while looking for a place to eat. A quick search on Trip Advisor lead us to this restaurant. The moment we walked in, it reminded us the famous beer garden in Munich we went last year. People shared long woonden benches and tables. We ordered some sausage and veal. They were quite good.... If you want to have Swiss food this is a good place to visit. We had a reservation and arrived early and were seated right away. Service was fast and efficient. It was packed by the time we left at 7:30 pm. Prices were ok, considering Zurich is very expensive. They leave a basket of rock hard bread on the... More

We arrived around 7-30 pm, and the place was packed( around 200 seats!).. We waited around 15 minutes, and they squeezed on to a table of 4 ( everybody shares a table). We ordered Veal Schnitzel ( covered the whole plate!) with famous Roesti potatoes and a veal in a cream/ brandy / mushroom sauce, with home style potatoes....was excellent, and... Be sure to make a reservation because this place fills up, even mid week. I recommend going early in the evening. We had 6:30pm reservation and restaurant was half full when we arrived. It was packed within the hour! The restaurant has large shared tables and it's the type of place where you can't help making friends with the folks... More

Hungry in Zurich? Definitely eat here as the experience is as good, if not better than at the Hofbrau House. The restaurant is in an historic building full of charming "artifacts." Prices are high, but what isn't in Zurich? Service is friendly and fast. The food is terrific with large portions. It is always busy, so arrive early if you... More

I had a day in Zurich and had read about this place in a travel magazine so thought why not...and boy was it worth it! Service is excellent and prompt, food is terrific and the beer is great as you'd expect. The decor is also unique, with the armaments and all. Not to mention; for Zurich prices it is not... More

The restaurant is packed constantly, and it is common that you will sit at a table of four with another couple as they don't have tables for two, and it is such a fun atmosphere. If you dare, you can order a giant, flaming drink lit with a brandy/whisky mixture topped off with beer, or the "meat sword" which is... More

This is a must when you come to Zurich! The Zeughauskeller was an armory which has been transformed into a restaurant. The ceiling is older than the US.... a ceiling older than a country! The menu has traditional Swizz dishes and a good selection of wild game meats. I had the Wild Boar which came with Spetzel, chestnuts, and a... More
