This is a typical Swiss restaurant, right in the center of Zurich (tram stop Paradeplatz, in the Banhoffstrasse). Close to the main station and the lake. Plenty of sausages of all kinds, stunning cordon bleu (my best so far in Switzerland), long menu with good variety, and OK desserts. Another great thing, it is opened until 11pm! The kitchen closes... More

If you want to step back in time and enjoy great food, this is the place. If you like veal sausages, this is the place. If you like Zurich-style geschnetzeltes, the beautiful veal and mushroom, this is the place. If you want fine dining, white tablecloths and peace and quiet, this may not be the place. But do you need... More

We made an online reservation for late Sunday lunch the evening before and got a confirmation very quickly. When we arrived, the waitress greeted us and showed us to our table. Then we had to wait for quite a while for any of the waiters to start paying attention to us and bring us the menu ... Other than that,... More

We had reservations here, which on a Sunday is maybe not necessary. It was warm so we ate outside. Food and service was excellent. You must remember to order the check since in Europe they do not bring it without asking! The reason for only a rating of 3 is because the waiter handed my cousin the credit card machine... More

Dining at the Zeughauskeller is like stepping back in time. It's NOT a place for vegans! But the Aelplermakkroni (kind of mac n cheese) are devine. The bathrooms are really tiny! Worth a visit!

I was only in Zurich for one night and really wanted to try this restaurant, and it did not disappoint. The menu was extensive witj choices from tons of sausages. The food was delicious, the beer was cold and the staff extremely helpful.

A very busy place. Luckily we went before 7.00pm and managed to squeezed a table for 2 people for us. There are many reserrvations from 7.30pm onwards. So if you don't have any reservation, go there early otherwise it pays to hhave a reservation. The food are very local delicacies. Most food comes with either potatoes fritters, fries or pasta... We loved the atmosphere, the olde world nature of the huge restaurant and of course the fabulous food. The waiters are friendly and efficient and will find you a table even if you think the place looks absolutely full. We had the house specialties (about 15 different Sausage dishes) with potato salad and loved them so much we ate there... More

We went as a large group for a birthday party. The food was really well done, with some hearty classics and a huge array of sausages. Despite being a fairly run of the mill beer hall offering the Schweinshaxe was delicious! Service was top notch, and given the location prices were great value too. Will definitely be back (if only... More

I had dinner here on a business trip last month. I thought it was terrific. Jam packed, loud - we had a great time. Food was good, not great, but that was secondary in my opinion to the atmosphere of the place. Food came in ample portions and pretty authentic compared to other spots that I ate at in Zurich...
