Description: With its aura of La Belle Epoque, the Lipp is a cult site for French brasserie style cuisine. You can find it in the heart of Zurich. The restaurant can accommodate 200 people indoors and 40 people outdoors. Here diners can sample fresh cuisine and enjoy the Parisian ambiance. The standard menu offers a large selection of French dishes such as oven-roasted lamb steak with porto jus, tagliatelle and ratatouille. You can also order the dishes as takeaways – including the opened and ice-cooled oysters. French culture resonates on the wine list too. The Panorama Bar adjoining the restaurant is a particular highlight. Overlooking the rooftops of the city, it is the perfect place to come for lunch, an aperitif or a glass of wine from anywhere in the world.

My husband and I are regulars at the Brasserie Lipp and at the Jules Verne panorama bar (in the tower of the city's observatory), not least because of their terrific location, smack in the center of Zurich. Although the Brasserie Lipp used have better service and the food is quite expensive for what you get - except for their business... More

Had a wonderful lunch with my wife at this bistro.we had been there once before for dinner but were not overwhelmed, service was rushed but food was good...very expensive expected more for the money. But this time was magical.not very busy at lunch hour so that might explain the difference. Service was much better and food was outstanding.my wife had... More

I have been here several time for lunch and for dinner. Styled on a classic Parisienne bistro but a whole lot more expensive! If we have visitors on expenses we go there and you can have a good meal but there are many other places I would spend that money!

We went in at new years eve rather late, when every other restaurant in the area was closing or not serving food anymore... Service was very attentive and kind, and the atmosphere was really charming...typical old school Parisian Brasserie style... My partner had a perfectly oven- cooked pikeperch filet (best fresh water fish imo) with roasted veggies (potatoes, courgettes, eggplants,... More

Went out for lunch with family. The Brassiere offers a rich menu with sea food, various salads, classical meat and vegetarian dishes, and even some simple sausage menus. The food was good and portions were of decent size to feed a hungry stomach. The starter and the main course were served at the same time for the whole table. The... More

Booked this Restaurant after recommendation from our hotel and researching Trip Adviser for a fish restaurant in central Zurich open on Sundays. This brasserie is so French for all the best reasons it feels like you have stepped from Switzerland to Paris. The shellfish platters with fresh lobster, crab, oysters, mussels etc etc are wonderful, served by very helpful staff. Meat... More

It might be expensive, but if you are looking for a place with oysters an lobster then you should go there! I like the atmosphere and the food is good, a bit expensive but we are in ZH so not really surprisingly 😉 the service could improve a bit but all in all a good place for seafood...

Had lunch here and were not disappointed. Typical French Brasserie ambience. Attentive and efficient staff. Had the Entrecote with a dak beer and were not disappointed. Well cooked and well presented food. Would recommend for lunch as there is also a lunch time menu.

The french have the perfect word for it: incontournable. The lipp is a myst in the Zurich food scene. Admittedly more because of its flair than its cuisine. The latter could do with a bit more love and care. Stick to the classics - oysters, choucroute and the like, and enjoy the ever so busy atmosphere. Very mixed crowd, everybody... More

Very nice atmosphere for a special occasion. Staff makes everyone very comfortable and multilingual. Food was excellent, sampler starter plate gave about 10 different small bites. Steaks were excellent bad seafood very good as well. Reservations highly recommended, we had them, and I doubt too many guests were served who didn't, since it was full on week night. It is... More
