Friendly and attentive service

A group of seven of us had a good meal here. Zurich is an eye-wateringly expensive city and this place is pretty much par for the course on price. The food and wine were decent, though, and the service was really excellent: friendly and attentive without being overbearing or unctuous. The ambience... read more

Another little surprise amongst the innumerable restaurants of Zurich. When most of the restaurants go for swiss cuisine, here you have a bold statement of spanish flair. Many of the guests are spanish and this is already a good sign. The service is also relaxed but professional and the food is excellent both for connoisseurs and not. Seating outside is... More

This is the 2nd time we have eaten here (last time 3 years ago). This a family run restaurant in a quiet olde part of Zurich which permits one to eat in a small square at outside tables. CLEARLY it is a favorite of Zurich residents as we have never seen (heard) other English speakers eat here. Both visits we... More

I Like that Italian feeling, in the heart of Zurich, its so alive, food amazing, love the Italian waiters in their long white aprons, oozes with old chic - have to be happy with tables being close to each other, no top secret conversation luncheon here! luv the atmosphere - all buzzing!

This Spanish restaurant offers well prepared, delicious and tasty Spanish food. There's a good range of courses, great wines to go with the food, and the service is excellent and friendly. It's difficult to describe how great the atmosphere is, you must try it. We were so lucky to get a table outside in the charming little square in that... More

Taverna Catalana remains one of our favorite restaurants in Zurich after having lived here for 20+ years. It is one of the few places in the center of Zurich with a relaxed rather than business-like atmosphere, thanks to the wonderful owner Mr. Ledesma. He is ever-present and keeps a watchful eye over everything, and has a very good hand when... More

We got there by accident because a restaurant nearby was already fully booked. Thanks to the warm evening we were seated at a table on this fantastic spot in the middle of the old town. The service of our waiter was fantastic, but of course he sold us this wonderful white wine from Mallorca and fried eggs with summer truffel.... More

The ambiente and service is a mix between Swiss perfection and Spanish charm. The owner is a spanish gentleman who has been living for years and years in Switzerland. Half his family works at the Taverna and so you have a very charming and friendly bunch of people serving food and looking after you. The place invites to have fun,... More

We visited this restaurant on the last night of our holiday as a treat and were so disapointed. The bill came to €214, for two courses and a bottle of wine. Now I know Zurich Is really expensive in general, but we were still shocked to see the prices, but thought we'd just order what we wanted and chalk it... More
