I love interior design. This place was my haven. Very unassuming from the outside, this restaurant is not to be missed for breakfast, lunch, tea and well, any other excuse in the book. Don't even eat! Just stop by! You enter into the patisserie where you find cute baked goods & amazing breads. Three level restaurant, each one producing a... More

Whenever I have visitors this is one of my favourite places to take them for brunch: 1. The location is perfect. Right in the pretty Old Town so great for tagging on to a bit of sight seeing. 2. Both the cafe and shop are beautifully decorated with a quirky style. There is a lovely garden when the weather is... More

Cafe Schober is delightful. It's in historic old town Zurich and is decorated beautifully. The pastries and coffee are delicious. We were fortunate enough to run into a filming crew that treated us to Zopf, a Swiss braided bread. It's a must to try. It's firm on the outside and sweet/soft on the inside. Also the chocolates are over the... More

As you step into this bakery from the street it looks relatively small and somewhat unprepossessing but walk through the store and in the back are several different tea rooms ranging from the light and airy to the plushly decorated. All set in a stone built beamed building it is a wonderful place to get afternoon tea (and probably plenty... More

Delicious food especially hot chocolate. Portions are decent and fullfilling. The decor is colorful and absorbing. Tried apple schtrudel - mouth watering. Gemüsekisch is a bit less tasty. The waiters are slow though. But the ambiance is delightful.

Located in the hart of the old town of Zurich the Cafe Schroeder keep its beautiful ealy 20 century decoration. Don't miss the exquisite second floor room. Besides the excellent pastries, pies and hot chocolate there is an marvelous birchermùesli (if you are not Swiss I recommend that you try it because this an unique Swiss speciality). The service is... More

I know this is one of the most popular cafes in Zurich and it has a lot to recommend it. The food is really quite nice, not too atrociously priced given Zurich is the home of the ridiculously priced everything. The cafe itself is atmospheric, and the various levels gives the diner an opportunity to select an ambience that suits... More

The location is a bit difficult to find as it hides in the inner street. We had two cups of hot chocolate and fruit tarts. The hot chocolate is very thick, smooth and rich, highly recommended! Fruit tarts are nice as well but not impressive. This cafe does not provide English menu.

I went there today with friends visiting from Australia. They were impressed with the interior, which is quite opulent - exactly the right kind of atmosphere for a cafe. I have to say I was quite disappointed by the waiting staff who was not very friendly and helpful and didn't seem to speak English, which I would expect (both the... More

I won't lie this place is pricey, but worth the taste. Order the muesli or apple strudel with cream. I would know I have grown up going here since I was 2! Every time I visit zurich I always come back to cafe schober and it is always rewarding in taste and price. Like I said expensive but worth it.... More
