Ultimate Breakfast Shoppe

I say breakfast shoppe because they are a proper bakery offering a luxury of fine baked goods, cookies, tarts, etc. But their breakfast menu is competitive. I would say skip the hotel breakfast and come to Cafe Schober, you'll be glad you did.

We visited this cafe in evening, and were not very hungry. My husband ordered hot chocolate and a cake, I am - the strawberry with whipping cream.Everything was really good and not very expensive. And the room on the second floor was so romantic with classical musik of Mahler...

Wonderful old Cafe with fantastic cakes and deserts. My favourite room was the Red plush room, but the garden room was also lovely and inner courtyard.

At CHF 60 for an apple strudel, a chocolate caramel tort, and one cold chocolate and one hot chocolate (supposedly their specialty), this place was expensive and underwhelming. The cold chocolate was just chocolate milk. Nothing more and nothing less. The hot chocolate tasted like instant mix. The strudel tasted like corporate-bakery made back in the states. The chocolate caramel... More

For me, the best thing about this place was the house its self, with the interior courtyard. Everybody else was sitting in front, to see the people pass by. After you choose your sweets, go right and at the end of the hallway you will find a nice silent courtyard. It is full of plants and it has a special... More

I was super excited to try the hot chocolate touted as the worlds best but found it to be fairly average. The cafe itself is pretty and has a nice patio facing a cute street. The pastries and chocolates are nice looking but look better than they taste and are expensive. I would pop in for a look and leave.

Being in Switzerland, we were excited about trying out the hot chocolate. We read good reviews on trip advisor, unfortunately we didn't have the same experience. I know the prices are expensive in Switzerland but we paid around $10 AUD for one hot chocolate that was more milky then chocolatey and not very creamy. Would not go back again.

Lovely place to enjoy a cup of hot chocolate. The cakes and pastries are delicious, too. Although it could be quite hectic and crowded at times, it's worth paying a visit.

If you visit Zurich and don't come here you have missed something memorable. We came for coffee and apple strudel, but all of the cakes looked delicious. This is a very well known cafe, frequented by locals. It's historic and it's a special experience just to walk in and look. Very good service. Make the effort. You won't be disappointed.... More

They just do everything different and take it to the next level. The atmosphere has it all whether you are inside or outside.
