I won't lie this place is pricey, but worth the taste. Order the muesli or apple strudel with cream. I would know I have grown up going here since I was 2! Every time I visit zurich I always come back to cafe schober and it is always rewarding in taste and price. Like I said expensive but worth it.... More

We sat upstairs and found the velvet chairs and gold tables quite beautiful. There is an outside garden but it was closed. The front tables (which overlook the street) are to be avoided if you are a non smoker! Food wise: Lovely cakes, savory tarts, salads and breakfasts. Coffee is excellent and they have a good selection of teas too.... More

We (bf and I) had just arrived in Zurich after a total 22 - hour flight from Sydney when, desperate for coffee, we found this charming cafe down the road from our accommodation. The coffee was excellent and the pain chocolat was absolutely amazing. We were so impressed that we returned almost every day that we were in Zurich. We... More

Based on recommendations, my wife and I went here for afternoon tea. What a let down. It was a Friday afternoon, the place was quite full, we were squeezed into a tiny table in a corner and it was 20 minutes before a waitress came to take our order (we were ready to walk out). For most of the time... More

My wife and I came past in the morning and liked what we saw.. They had an amazing array of fresh cakes and pastries, but we where not hungry at the time . We spent a few hours shopping and decided to go for late afternoon coffee and cake. What a disappointment , they had sold out of all the... More

Don't visit Schober if you're Starbucks regular or you are on a tight budget and in a hurry. It's like stepping back in time when you enter. Decor and ambience are all part of the experience. We enjoyed a leisurely coffee and cake there several times during our week in Zurich, my husband favouring the apple strudel with vanilla custard... More

We had just arrived in Zurich and decided to take a walk through the old part of the city. We were looking for a place to have lunch and we saw this what looked like a little bakery/café. There were some seats outside so we sat down and looked at the menu. The menu was totally in German. Usually menus... More

A beautiful cafe in the Old Town district of Zurich. A very quiet and peaceful courtyard setting for a tasty light lunch. The pastries and chocolates on display looked absolutely wonderful. Definitely must return.
