I have never felt compelled to write a review about a restaurant, until I dined at Kaiser's Reblaube for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. I was a guest for a "wine & dine" with a winemaker, which consisted of four courses and requires well over 50 glasses. The food was impeccable, we were all impressed with the precision, flavors and... More

Very high quality ingredients, flavourful, attentive staff. Faithful to Swiss tradition. Only negative is price but it may be necessary to get wild, local and seasonal ingredients.

Historical restaurant. Exceptional food. I was there with a friend and had soup and a tasteful chopped beef with steamed vegetables plus polenta. Half liter opened of a good French wine (Bordeaux if I recall well) and we spent around 80 francs each. All in on good quality and friendly staff. I booked right away a table for a couple... More

We went for our anniversary dinner here... We were NOT disappointed!!!! We had the 3 course meal and it was awesome. White asparagus soup, duck liver mousse, vegetable cheese soup, rabbit, rack of lamb, delicious cheeses and of course wine!! Expensive of course but worth it. The room was historical and beautiful.

Well, certainly it is a place with atmosphere and a very nice and attentive staff but at the same time it is way too expensive for what you get on your plate. it was not a bad meal, actually it was quite good, but the prices are like at a gourmet place, while the food is not as advanced as... We had (at the end of september!) drinks outside and the staff was very nice and welcoming. Around 7pm the church bells around deliver a outstanding sound experience for free). Afterwards, we went upstairs to the Göethe Stübli (Goethes bedchamber when he was in Zurich) and enjoyed a very nice and good, but nevertheless costy dinner. Only 3 of 6... More

Just what you'd enjoy for a relaxed lunch with friends or collegues. We were seated outside in the rather pleasant garden whch has a nice atmosphere.

To be fair, I have eaten here several times and the food is without fault, but even Picasso made some atrocious paintings and yesterday this place failed miserably. The service was so uncaringly inept (for a very special evening) that we didn't even stay for the food, leaving anyway with a very bad taste in the mouth.

This was the second time we have been here. The atmosphere is lovely, in the heart of the Aldstadt, and the food traditional Swiss and of high quality. The only down side was the maitre'd (actually in this case, the maitresse'd) who was incredibly grumpy and unhelpful. Thankfully our waitress could not have been nicer. An excellent evening; we would... More
