To be fair, I have eaten here several times and the food is without fault, but even Picasso made some atrocious paintings and yesterday this place failed miserably. The service was so uncaringly inept (for a very special evening) that we didn't even stay for the food, leaving anyway with a very bad taste in the mouth.

This was the second time we have been here. The atmosphere is lovely, in the heart of the Aldstadt, and the food traditional Swiss and of high quality. The only down side was the maitre'd (actually in this case, the maitresse'd) who was incredibly grumpy and unhelpful. Thankfully our waitress could not have been nicer. An excellent evening; we would... More

The chefs definitely know their business, all dishes were superb. And they come at a price. Very nice selection of wines. We had a very nice evening there.

I had come across very good reviews about Kaiser's Reblaude, and therefore decided to try it during a recent visit to Zurich. It was an excellent experience. The restaurant is located in a old part of town, minutes away from the Bahnoffstrasse, and therefore quite easy to get to. The food choices were very good, and the menu selected was... More

I had problems with the overall rating on this, as it should be an excellent, but for a lone wanderer from the UK with a budget, the bill was a shock and the only reason I selected "Very Good" rather than "Excellent". This is an excellent restaurant although for someone from the UK unfamiliar with Zurich restaurant prices it became... More

Had a Saturday dinner with a friend recently - already been there three times before. Service and food were both very good to excellent. Have a look at their website, it provides a good insight what's on offer. Expect to pay ca. 125 CHF for a meal with wine, water and a coffee for consistent 14-15 Gault Millau or close... More

I went with friends visiting us from out of town. I had poussin for my main course, which wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. The service was fine - not bad, not outstanding. Perhaps I chose the wrong dish; in any case, I wasn't impressed enough to want to go back again ... The outdoor seats are lovely and perfect... More

We were very pleased with everything, the setting, the menu, the service, the food. I wish we could have had the same experience in all the Swiss restaurants. We wanted to return but they weren't open on Sundays.

Located in a very nice building in a nice area of old town. Even Goethe visited! Very friendly reception in a great and comfortable place. The food is of the best available in this city of good restaurants. Food and mostly wine prices are very elevated (but the wine is very good!), more reasonable for the "plat du jour" at... More

Kaser's Reblaube is well hidden off Glockengasse, and easy to miss (despite prominent wall signs). It's a small, traditional Swiss restaurant with a simple seasonal menu. Portions were big and quality was good. The wine list is extensive. Service was good, and the atmosphere relaxed but quite formal.
