Excellent creative cuisine

One of the few creative dining experiences in Zurich. Do try one of the siphons (foam) soups hot or cold according to the season and ingredients. Pasta lovers, you will not be disappointed. Eveything is excellent and very well presented. Good wine list, excellent service by nice people.

Martin Surbeck's Sein is located next to Bahnhofstrasse in central Zurich. There is a tapas bar and the fine dining restaurant. The summer menu in the restaurant was amazing. Very creative and light. The wine pairing was well assorted with the dishes. An excellent cuisine!

We went to Sein for dinner on the occasion of my birthday. Upon our arrival there was a warm welcome by the service staff and we were guided to our table which was nicely decorated for my birthday. We had Champaign to begin with and ordered the regular and the vegetarian menu, respectively. There were no amuse-bouche, but between every... More

Our concierge company booked us a table at this restaurant because frankly everything else (good) was fully booked. The prices are outrageous for the food you get. I got a plate with mashed potatoes with asparagus pieces sticking out of it with some random "condiments" for taste. I wish we would've visited the restaurant next door instead.

Sein is a great restaurant, it's really that simple. The room is a sleek bright place with the tables not too close. For starters my wife had a salad. The salad was a very european hearty lettuce and vegetable salad. She indicated it was delightful. I had the clear tomato soup with basil foam. This dish was really, really, outstanding.... More

This is a really good restaurant. The service is first class, the food and wine wonderful. This is probably on of the better restaurants in Zurich, and our first point of contact was with a delightful Swiss lady who was able to discuss the choice with us in perfect detail. The inside restaurant overlooks the pavement and you feel part... More

We had dinner there and the food was exceptional and the wine list superb (if pricey). I had the clear tomato soup to start with which was delicious thought the fact that as it arrived at the table it was shaken up with a basil foam seemed like a waste of the entire process to clear it in the first... Truly excellent and inventive from start to finish (vanilla ice cream with 3 different fruit sauces to die for). Liked eating tapas at outside cafe. Server was also very helpful. Wine - not too expensive and nice Swiss choices.

The service here is a little slow but it is good and they know their food. My main course was the fish special and it was absolutely delicious. It was made with flair and carefully chosen ingredients. The homemade ice cream for dessert is absolutely delicious. I would recommend this particularly for a business dinner.

Modern and classy restaurant. We loved the service here! The Manager and the wait staff made us feel so welcome and were full of smiles and warm wishes. We started with the marinated tuna fish and parpadelle. I had the lamb as my entree which was delicious. We had a wonderful experience here and would recommend this restaurant to others.... More
