Great vegetarian

Really tasty food in a buzzing local restaurant, about 20 minutes walk from the central station. Very nice not to have meat shovelled at you as you do in the rest of Switzerland! Nice atmosphere and decor.

Located in a trendy alternative area of Zürich, the Samses restaurant is an imaginative, thriving restaurant with excellent vegetarian food plus several vegan options. Unusually for Zürich, it is quite reasonably priced, too. They have a buffet from which you can help yourself to a wide variety of food, priced per 100 g (slightly higher for eat-in than take-out). The restaurant is not big and often crowded, so I absolutely recommend reservation! Unpretentious and easygoing compared to Hiltl, the atmosphere is cozy, and though the service was a bit slow, I got a yummi vegi burger, sided by salad and roasted potatoes! The waitresses were very busy but really kind, and I was satiated and satisfied for only 17... More

We picked up this place for a group lunch because few people were vegetarians. I am not vegetarian myself, so I was a bit skeptical, but... The food was just amazing! Tasty and intriguing. The owners were always kind - even with such a big group, more than 20 people- and the service was excellent. Highly recommended!!

Same with this place, found on trip advicer and went to try food there. had buffet and food was delicious. It is not that expensive... More

Veggie only, but ages away from Tibits quality. Smoke free and casual athmosphere.
