Proper pub

Mr Pickwick is a proper pub, the publican has striven to make it the closest you can get to the British pub culture roots. It has TV broadcasts of sport, usually football, snooker etc, a wide range of beers, stouts and ales (the Guiness is good) and sits in the west bus terminus area outside the... read more

I visited this pub with my oldest friend who has lived in Zug for over 25 years. What a friendly pub it is with a lot people from all areas of Europe visiting. It is quite a sporty pub but the food and beer is excellent, complimented by the clientele who frequent the pub. We had a lovely afternoon meal... More

Dear PhotoRAMBLER5 Many thanks for your feedback; the team appreciate it very much. We strive hard to offer an authentic British pub atmosphere. Our Guest ales from England are very popular; at the moment we have Fuller`s London Porter and Belhaven Black Stout. We are also launching a new food menu in April which we are very excited about. We... More

Great ex pat pub in Zug. This is where most Ex pats hang out. The land lord introduced himself which was good as we were new to the area. Dog friendly which is very helpful. The food is very good, considering its a pub. lots to choose from and they will adapt whatever you want. Thank you

Dear Steve R A great review, many thanks from the whole team. We strive hard to ensure a great atmosphere for all our Swiss and international guests - we are "the place where people meet!". We are launching a new food menu in April 2016 so if you are in town pop in and try something new! One of our... More

Big screen sports, good selection of British beer and nice choice of pub grub. Well located near the Zug train station.

Dear Gordon646593 Many thanks for your positive review. We hope to see you again soon. Next time why not try one of our English guest beers. If you like rugby we televise the 6 Nations games live (Feb-March). On behalf of the team I wish you a very Merry Christmas. More

Strange to read so many critical views on the beer - I tasted 5 of them and they were all good, especially the Guinness, which was perfectly kept. The food was no better, no worse than the usual pub grub, but you don't go there for fine dining, do you? The burger and fries were OK, nothing special but nothing... More

Dear Mike, Many thanks for your support and next time you visit may be you can try the guest beers we offer on a regular basis from the UK (Fuller`s and Greene King breweries). In 2016 the food menu will be re-launched and I am sure you will not be disappointed. More

So a bit rough and ready - full of expats - reasonable range of beers - shows all the UK sport on big screen TVs

Dear crookedtoungues Thank you for your review. Most of our customers like to dive in and meet their friends and enjoy the pub experience. If you return to Switzerland maybe we can show you the reason we are “the place where people meet”. Best regards More

The 'Deluxe' burger is made with cheap frozen meat, not worth it at all. The fries are ok. Staff is ok and friendly.

The food was not very exciting but we were there to watch the rugby on the televisions all around and that was fun. An easy, noisy place in a clean quiet town.
