Hidden gem in the Alps

Good choices in the menu. Sophisticated preparation and presentation with interesting use of herbs and spices perhaps linked to the long and exotic travelling experience of the owner. Be prepared to drive long and winding road before reaching this cozy restaurant in the peak.

I've lived in the region for 7 years and have tried many of the restaurants on recommendations from locals, and this one is in my top two. The other is Chalet de les Enfants above Lausanne by the way. Food here is extraordinary, local, fresh, and even with large serving sizes for such a foodie spot. I ride my bike... More

Come once... and you will call again, and again... This little gem at 1300m over sea level, high above the Montreux lake shore is a must do. During warm summer days like this early July, dining up there is a wonderful way to end your day. A very scenic and steep route will bring you there, accessible with any kind... More

When visiting our friends in Montreux we invited them for Dinner at La Cergniaulaz. This was probably my fifth time I went there, for my wife her first. And again both Food and Service where top. The Food (my starter was marrow and main course the Filet of Beef) where cooked to perfection and served with a smile. The wines... More

We came to this restaurant at about 18:00 after a full day hiking around Rochers de Naye. Just arrived, waited 15 minutes, because the owner chatted with someone on the street. Then we have asked for the menu to select a drink. at the same time we asked if we could have something to eat. The owner told us that... More

We live in the area and frequently visit this restaurant. This time we went the first day after their winter break and it was like in a fairy tale: it was snowing (again) outside while we enjoy great cuisine in the warmth inside. Foie Gras, duck with figs and leg of lamb. The menu does not change much, but they... More

We travel a lot, mostly in the U.S. and Europe, and have dined at some awesome restaurants in some beautiful locations. This restaurant is quite possibly the best dinner experience we have ever had. The drive up was filled with beautiful views of Lake Geneva and they continued once we arrived at the restaurant. On one side of the restaurant... More

Yes, one could eat very well at this restaurant but now one has the impression that they live on their reputation. Prices are high and the quality of the food is not that great. The service is without a smile most of the time. The setting is beautiful though,

We have been to this restaurant many, many times. While they have an extensive menu, we always order the same meal - rabbit with Polenta. This dish is just fantastic. The setting is up on the mountains above Montreux. The restaurant is lovely and the service always perfect. We just cannot think of enough good things to say about it.
