My colleagues and I visited the auberge last week for a conference diner. We all pre ordered the set menu. The service was very friendly, the atmosphere cosy but unfortunately the food was very average. Our starter was a plain salad with poor quality ham and cheese. The tarragon chicken was overcooked and the dessert was just about ok. Compared... More

We had a lovely fondue dinner here set amongst the pastoral scenery. It was very memorable for the delicious food and unique setting. It is about 20 minutes outside the city centre, but well worth the time to get there.

I do understand that we are on the country side. I do understand that there are a lot of cows and other animals. However I don't understand how we have the rate of 50 flies per table flying around. The place is great, the brunch is probably one of the best of Lausanne but it is impossible to have it... More

Hello nunomccosta, With the cooler days this problem got already solved by itself but we understand well your complaint and are really sorry about the flies that where really numerous this summer! Being in a farm with animals, as you mentioned, we usually have some flies in summer but this year it was terrible because of the special hot temperature... More

Found this restaurant through the reviews, and fortunately the taxi was able to locate the restaurant which was about 20 mins drive from the town. It was quick packed when we arrived, considering that there wasn't much cars parked outside (!). The serving staff was helpful and recommended variety of fondue for us, as well as the beer on tap.... In the countryside, you wont get there by chance. Make sure to book though as it gets very busy any time of the year. In summer the terrace overlooks the fields where cows are grazing. Fondue is a safe choice but the menu offers a selection of other options to satisfy every taste. There is a big garden for kids... More

Take a trip up away from the lake at Lausanne, across the motorway, down a few country lanes and through the woods and if you are lucky you will find this charming restaurant. Inside it has a number of 'snug' like rooms giving a really cosy feel. Serving tasty local dishes, we had the cold meats and a wonderful roquette... More

My friends and I had a dinner here for a friend's birthday, we were approximately 20 people. I have to say, the place tiny but definitely adorable. The service was sufficient, nothing fancy but classy. Staff was helpful and nice. The food was GREAT! A little pricy but welcome to Switzerland.. I will definitely be back there when I'm in... More

Outside Lausanne, but within 15 minutes driving, the restaurant is very nice and welcoming, with a play area for the kids. The food is good, but actually we only go there for the awesome fondue :-) there are a few very good 'flavours' including beer and mushrooms, but the classic one is simply excellent! Good artisanal beers.
