I have enjoyed a dinner in the patio (summer time) and chef made me the special lamb dish. It is difficult to describe the complexity of flavors of my dish in contrast with the simple restaurant atmosphere and food presentation. I would certainly recommend that you visit and be prepared for a treat!

Food was excellent...among the best in the area for ethiopian/erythrean food. Service was rather quick. Ni frills place, just what you need. Prices are rather decent compared to most others, but the only minus is the quantity. If you just take a regular meal, there definitely isn't a lot of food. They were very kind about it however, and have... More

The food taste was special not everyone will like it! But the problem is my plate, it costs CHF 25, but just have 2 pieces of chicken, some salad and egg! Where is other side dish like spinach and other things suppose on my plate?! The place is so small!

I dined at Red Sea already several times. It's always a pleasure as this place couples extremely tasty food with a genuine atmosphere. The quality/price ratio of this restaurant is outstanding in the context of Switzerland. I usually take the degustation menu, which has a varied combination of flavours, good if you don't know much about Eritrean cuisine (as I... More

Having lived in Eritrea for 2 years and also had the opportunity to enjoy great Eritrean/Ethiopian food in Kenya, we thoroughly enjoyed this family restaurant!! The quality of the food is irreproachable and so tasty, the service is friendly and efficient and the hygiene is top of the class. If you want to be propelled into an exotic world, this... More

The restaurant is kind os small but very friendly however the environment could seem special at first. It's more of a family or friend restaurant than for couples but it's also interesting eating with your hand in the same plate than your partner. We took the special menu and there was a lot of food and when you finish you... More

A very interesting place to enjoy some Ethiopian food. We especially liked the friendliness and hospitality of the staff (probably the owner himself).

Went with my fiancee there, not very sure about what to expect. I must say I was very positively surprised by the high quality of the food. A small restaurant - the owner is so sure about his products and hygiene in the preparation that he even allowed us into the kitchen. A REALLY GOOD RECOMMENDATION IF YOU ARE LOOKING... More
