Definitely not going back. I went there with some non-swiss friends to have them try the fondue... Quite disappointing to be honest. The atmosphere is so-so: a swiss "traditional" deco, but a bit dusty and aged... The worse part is the service, that isn't friendly at all. The food is OK. If you want to go for a good fondue... Enjoyed a fondu dinner dinner with friends. Fondu was average but the atmosphere was very nice. A nice place to bring your guests for a swiss experience.

Very traditional Swiss meal. Enjoyed an evening dinner with other conference attendees. Never in a million years would I thought I would say "enough cheese!" We had our feel of this very good meal, probably a different experience because of the whole group had the entire restaurant. The dried meats with the gherkins and pickeled pearl onions were great. I... More

It is certainly a nice place to have a drink, especially if you're an outdoor fan. The view is nice (overlooking the Tribunal Cantonal, the Hermitage museum and its park). The terrasse is sunny and peaceful as there is no direct access to cars, the car park being 50 meters away. I didn't have a meal there recently and the... More

If you're looking for a kitschy, chalet ambiance in the city, this is as good as it gets. They have all of the traditional Swiss plates, including a several types of fondue (tomato is wonderful). Unfortunately the service is less than mediocre (and this is coming from someone who has lived in Switzerland for five years!). The lighting is also... More

Loved the decoration and relaxed environment, service was fast and decent and the prices really acceptable (for this region). Was there with a group of 4 and even though we had no reservation we were promptly seated and served. We had lovely wine and Raclette that did not stop pouring in until we said "no more". Loved it. Simple, fast... More

Very popular restaurant, perfect for the Swiss night out! If you love cheese, you'll love this! Decorated in traditional Swiss style. The staff are polite and helpful. Nearby parking.

"Le Chalet Suisse" is a typical swiss restaurant located on the top of Lausanne, in the proximity of the Sauvabelin tower. This restaurant has a very nice view over the Lausanne city and the Leman lake. The food quality is also good and it's possible to order unlimited dishes of raclette ("raclette a discretion"). However, after 5-6 dishes you might... More
