When we arrived, nobody said hi and took us to a table. We sat for nearly half an hour, but still no service ... not even a menu on the table or asked if we wanted to have a drink first ... nothing at all. We tried to call them many times, but they said "Wait" and they kept walking... More

We've been to China and this restaurant is closest to what we experienced in China: crowded, noisy, but fresh and authentic. Don't expect any fancy decorations or furniture, although recently it has been renovated and looks better. And all this at reasonable prices for Switzerland. Service is sometimes disorganized (some waiters hardly speak any other language than Mandarin)-you do not always... More

Awfull service: spring rolls after main plate, rice at dessert. Worst Chinese food : spicy crispy sweet and sour pork was in fact a chewing gum pork floating in an ugly creamy Sirup sauce. Beijing duck was cold, chewing gum and sauce disgusting. Ambiance: be ready to make a full dry cleaning of all your clothes after this experience.

Don't let yourself be fooled by the appearance of this restaurant. The food here is excellent. Everything from Peking duck, spicy beef or royal chicken to dumplings and veggies has a delicious taste. Even though it can be very noisy, the atmosphere has its charm. It is usually crowded, full of people having lots of fun and sharing their dishes.... More

The food was pretty good (not fancy or presented nicely though), the quantities were great (big!) and it was a fantastic price (for Switzerland). The service on the other hand was quite poor. Very pushy, not courteous or polite and they basically throw the plate down for you. Sooo, yes, it's good, but not THAT good!

I was here for an office team lunch in March 2014. I suppose coming with a group of eight was a tall order for a place that apparently gives poor service even to small groups, but having to wait *one hour* for our meals is simply unacceptable. One person in my party even went without lunch because the server forgot... More

I have been living in China for some years. And whenever I have a Chinese food craving: this is THE place! The food is amazing, the service is minimal and efficient. and the value for money is unbeatable! I brought here some of my Chinese friends and they have all agreed to say that this is the best Chinese restaurant... More

I've been coming to chez Xu for a number of years and I have a couple of favorites: seaweed salad and royal aubergine. I am vegetarian and it was a disappointment to see that the tofu de la maison option disappeared from the menu about 6 months ago. I happen not to like the only other one tofu option, sechuan... Small and nice, kind boss and staff. Their food is delicious and authentic, a bit crowded atmosphere, service is average, however the price is like good value for money. The quantity of each dish is generous, don't expect cnfortable service and seat, but your stomach will let you know it's really an attractive place to go for a quick lunch... More

I have been at Xu many times and I have to admit that the food is very good. Sometimes, the services is not very good and the place is usually crouded. In the last 3 years, the prices have gone drasticaly up by probably doubling but it's still a good value for money in Lausanne that I recommand.
