Trendy little cafe/ restaurant

Had an amazing salad. Service was a bit slow. I think they were growing it outside it took so long to come. I mean it's only a salad how hard it that too make and it wasn't busy either. But wow when the salad actually came it, I understood. it had been grown especially for me and it was a... read more

This cafè is lovely, cozy and promising. If you're alone you get to sit at a communal table which is something that I love but perhaps I would move this table away from the window. Anyway, I ordered a salad that came in the form of the most beautiful platter of goods: several kind of salad (romaine, chicory...) seeds, dried... More

We booked a table for 1 o'clock, we arrive there and the table was not ready, there were still people haing their coffees so we had to wait 10 minutes, after ten minutes we come back and we sit down, after 15minutes we have had to ask for the menu!!! I choose a salad and my boyfriend a menu with... More

I was on a 3 week business trip in Geneva so have tried a number of restaurants. If i had to recommend one restaurant it would be this one, (all things considered). Have the local Fillet de perche over here, its the most reasonably priced. The duck in orange sauce is also very nice. Their desserts are lovely as well.... More

We've been for drinks and the place is crowded but in a reasonably cosy way, and drink prices are OK (for Switzerland) and pretty decent, although a bit unusual in the way they're prepared, e.g. their special black coffee served with whipped cream. That said, my last lunch there, I'll never go back again for drinks. Le Barbare is just... More

The menu isn't very big, but you can pick anything blindfolded. Fresh produces, prepared with care and skill, a real delight. The atmosphere is relaxed and cosy. The staff is helpful and friendly, but the service is a little slow. I wouldn't advise it for a quick lunch break, but it's perfect for taking your time and enjoying your company.

The weirdest vegetarian food ever. Because of a really strange mix of sweet and salty, I couldn't decide if I was having desert or a main course. I will not even try to describe the salad entrėe, which I am sure was prepared by a brokenhearted and depressed Emo Hobbit. In my opinion, this cooking is clumsy and relates more... More

This cafe is in the centre of Lausanne and you can enjoy your coffee or lunch. We did not try the dishes but we will do next time. The inside is like many years ago with elements from the past i.e. the old TV and radio and others. We will go back for sure.

We didn't try the dishes but coffee and tea was ok. Atmosphere is unique as the place has its "own" appearance and crowd. Its a must visit for sure..

Loved this place - had walked by many times. Used a visit by my vegetarian daughter to try it out. The pizza was outstanding fresh, brightly flavored, light crunchy crust, and especially important for me, the sauce was not thick and sweet as is often the case outside Italy. Also, the atmosphere was 'funky coffee house', with both young hipsters... More
