Was looking at a place to have Fondue at Lausanne, and decided to head to Pinte Besson basis Trip Advisor reviews. The restaurant itself is like a tavern with an old world charm. The cheese fondue was excellent, and so was the staff. Certainly recommended. Tried the Rosti too - but i guess their speciality was the fondue

This is one of the best places around central Lausanne to have a good cheese fondue, or other traditional Swiss dishes. Good food, good service.

The fondue here is great, but there are many other fantastic meals. The meat dishes are always a success and the seasonal meals are very tasty. If you want good food in an authentic cavern, then the Pint Besson should be your first choice. I regularly go to Lausanne so I know what I am talking about!

Tasty rosti and side salad. Good wheat beer, lovely accommodating staff and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

This place is very authentic, special and we had a very special wedding party / banquet there. Food was tremendous, setting was fun (and ancient) and just have the best memories there. Highly recommend it!

Very unique place to dine. The interior was built in the 1700's. We were looking for a Fondue. One of those things that you have to do when in Switzerland. We had the 1/2 and 1/2 fondue and it was very good and very filling. We also had the house red wine which was very tasty. Our waiter was excellent... More

We discovered this historic Pub-Restaurant through a guide book. This is Lausanne, Switzerland's oldest Bar. This is off the beaten path for most tourist so the place is filled with regulars. Its a cave like environment with upstairs dining and a small terrace out front. We have never eaten here ,but from what we have seen the food looks great... More

We loved the fondue here and the wine was delicious as well. The building restaurant is historic and charming, and the staff, despite seeming quite overworked, was really friendly and helpful. We went in without a recommendation on a Saturday night, and were really lucky to get a table because someone had just called to cancel, so we would definitely... More

We ordered the 36 CHF meal which included a salad (very good dressing), cheese fondue (a mix of two cheeses, very tasty) and double creme dessert (also very flavorful). The only thing we all commented on was that there was only bread to dip in the fondue. We were hoping for some vegetables or fruits. Delicious either way and the... More

Search no more if you look for something authentically Swiss! Fondue is really good, the service is average, but this is not the place to expect something more. It works like that anyway, not a problem for me. The big big minus I would say are the lights. In such an environment it is a great pity to put the... More
