This place is great fun for an inexpensive night out. Beer or local Swiss wine and a proper Fondue. The charcuterie plate starter is also very nice. I agree with the critical review about the bread being nothing special. But the fondue is very authentic and the venue itself is the real reason to come. Full of fun loving locals.... More

We just came back from the Pinte Besson restaurant and I can't help but write this review immediately. The place is ordinary and the service, well, depends on how much are you willing to order. We were a group of three and one of us is not feeling so well for a big meal but some hot drinks and appetizer.... More

This was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. I ordered the cheese half and half fondue and some cold meats. It was totally incredible and nothing was left on my plate. The wine that they gave us was amazing and went so well with the meal. Great staff and an amazing looking restaurant with... More

I took my mom to Pinte Besson to introduce her to the traditional Swiss dining, and made a right choice. The location is conveniently central, the interior is traditional and warming. We've got a table just next to the bar and enjoyed a glass of wine with the locals. Obviously, we had a fondue, and in addition to the dipping... More

Perfect place to have fondue in the middle of Lausanne in what they claim being the oldest restaurant in Lausanne. Excellent cheese fondue.

This seems to be a typical Tavern of the old good time: some tables in the entrance then the bar. We had a fondue and a rosti with an artigianal beer, all good and large. We'll be there again next time in Lousanne

Went there to have dinner and it was one of the best meals and experience I've had so far. Since I don't speak french, I thought I would have some kind of problem with the staff. I was surprised to have a good service with a waitress that tried to understand my orders with patience and kindness. I tried the... More

Was looking at a place to have Fondue at Lausanne, and decided to head to Pinte Besson basis Trip Advisor reviews. The restaurant itself is like a tavern with an old world charm. The cheese fondue was excellent, and so was the staff. Certainly recommended. Tried the Rosti too - but i guess their speciality was the fondue

This is one of the best places around central Lausanne to have a good cheese fondue, or other traditional Swiss dishes. Good food, good service.

The fondue here is great, but there are many other fantastic meals. The meat dishes are always a success and the seasonal meals are very tasty. If you want good food in an authentic cavern, then the Pint Besson should be your first choice. I regularly go to Lausanne so I know what I am talking about!
