Great food, great wine, and delicious desserts. Lovely setting and wonderful service. One of our favourites in Zermatt.

This was our best meal on a 10 day stay in foodie Zermatt! Well done Zum See - loved the winter terrace. Highly recommended

This place is about 45 min hike from Zermatt. Path was a bit icy and the journey back was interesting, but worth the effort. We were there Xmas Day and the place was packed. We had reserved a table a few months in advance but over estimated the time to hike there and got there very early. Despite this they... More

Located in the very small and typical Sum See village, not too far from Zermatt, this is a nice mountain restaurant. They don't offer too many dishes but for sure you can find something like. We tasted a fish soup, I asked to have without mussels and a chicken salad. They were both pretty good. So we had 2 main... More

Wonderful lunch in this delightful alpine setting. We were nine people in our party and everyone enjoyed their meal. Several of us had Turkey, which was today's special , it was served with spiced red cabbage and chestnuts and potatoes gratin. It was delicious. Most of our party skied here but we walked fron the lift at Furi.

It used to be the nicest place in Zermatt to enjoy drinks or lunch on their terrace at this lovely place. But, in order to get more seats, they have covered their terrace completely. It is no longer possible to enjoy the fresh air and sun in the winter season. You always have to sit inside now. And, they don't... More

Zum See is our favourite restaurant in Zermatt. It has ambience and character in spades, the food is rich in local specialities and the "Mille Feuille" (vanilla slice although this vastly understates its sophistication) is undoubtedly the best I have ever had any where in the world. In winter you can ski to Zum See and in summer it is... More

The place is wonderful after an early days skiing ending up for a late lunch around 3pm after the crowds. The restaurant gets incredibly busy and booking needs reconfirming the day before and made a week in advance. Ensure you reserve table inside the old building at the rear you may get passed over for a prominent local or Oligarch... More

We use this restaurant for the Gala lunch which sort of turns into the Gala dinner! We go there as our last big lunch of the week because the food is outstanding and the wines excellent. Le Patron is always welcoming and understanding as the 6th or7th bottle of fine Sauterne is ordered! The piste is now lit for the... More
