I learned about this restaurant here on TripAdvisor, and we're very glad we went! We stopped in one afternoon for a late lunch, and we were the only people there at the time. At that hour, there was a limited menu, but this was fine for us as we were on a quest for fondue. The restaurant has a very... More

We walked past this several times as it is below street level, but found it after receiving a recommendation from our hotel owner. So pleased we ate here before leaving! Friendly service, nice and casual, with amazing fondue! We had cheese fondue with Gorgonzola, which was delicious. For dessert we had the giant meringue, and an apricot sorbet with prosecco.... More

My father and I made a reservation at this place, but when we arrived, we were told by our waitress that we better hurry up and order because "you have one hour." excuse me?? the waitress said that this is what she was told by her manager. I went up to the manager, of course, who confirmed that yes, we... More

If you are looking for fondue in Zermatt, this is the place. It has cozy little rooms with a wonderful selection of cheese and meat fondues (we got the the 3 cheese special that was lovely and we loved all the sides they provided - not just bread and potatoes but also a selection of fruit and vegetables). Our waitress... More

If you want to try beef fondue, this might be the right place. We just found it too much trouble to cook one piece of meat at a time (we were only given one fork each), and had trouble getting the timing right for doneness. The meal did come with an array of tasty, cold salads, so we had a... More

I think this is the same place I had raclette on last visit to Zermatt in 1970, when some locals took me there (many times). The restaurant has a great history. My wife and I had no reservation, and they seemed to be booked for later, but they fit us in. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and evening.

You are paying for European haute cuisine but not really seeing it. I ordered the cordon bleu, my wife the schnitzel both were okay but served with low grade French fries. To be fair the raclette was excellent and the service was good, but for 50 Euros a head for dinner and a drink you expect a bit more.

We walked in without a reservation and were warmly welcomed. Our amazing waitress spoke German, French and English flawlessly and provided friendly and efficient service. The standard German food was good.

This is a typical Swiss-style restaurant. It is very charming and small and quaint. You enter from the side of the building down some steps so it can be easy to miss. Make a reservation as it can get very busy. The food was very good and this is a definitely a great place to eat!
