We dined at China Garden for 6 people; all of the dishes are tasty according to our Asian tongue. The waiter is very enthusiasm (cannot remember the name, he's a bit Asian and quick pace, with eyeglasses). Although the price is a little pricey - but well within standard range in Zermatt.

I had the beef noodle soup- and it was thick noodles(almost like Shanghai style) with a good beef broth, shredded beef and pickles. I guess to me it was more northern Chinese style food. My husband had won ton soup - we are use to Hong Kong style food so this was not as good. My daughter had the roast... More

Although reviews were mixed, it's quite a good Chinese restaurant with some authentic dishes. The vegetable Dumbling tasted "like my mother's ", said my taiwanese wife. That's not really a compliment. The other dishes were better and quite well made. Especially the Sichuan Omelette was tasty. The service was also good. Maybe we had luck and were not serves by... When I first went in the waiter was just too rude to be true. The one with earing on one side and he was a young guy. He throws tantrum to us when we ask for water and he just look at me as if me and my family shouldnt be there to eat. He did not answer questions and... More

Was looking for something different than heavy Swiss food. What a delight to find the China Garden, just a one block off of Bahnhofstrasse. Wait staff did an excellent job, food was served and prepared perfectly. I had the Gung Boa chicken for my main dish and spring rolls for an appetizer. The food was spicy hot the way I... More

We come to Zermatt every time we are in Europe, and once during each visit we eat at China Garden. So, this was a return visit for us and it did not disappoint. The food is very good, presented with elegance, and the room is lovely. Zermatt is a hiking village so most people are there in their hiking gear... More

We went to this restaurant for dinner with 5 other people. The service was poor and it took over 15 mins just to get our check. Then, when it came time to pay, the server didn't want to seem to take our money. The food is ok, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Actually the food was OK, but very minimal, eg., order the beef in ginger sauce and that's all you get, no veggies, just a small plate of the beef. For the huge price we expected it to come with something! Expensive but average wine, uninterested waiter. A little disappointing. Better value Italian food at several places.

We had dinner two out of three days at our stay at Zermatt. Plenty of options for vegetarian food also. The food was at par with some of the best Chinese we ever had. A must go for all who visit zermatt.
