Great restaurant but 19 Swiss francs for a very small goulash soup and 7 francs for a glass of open wine =26 francs or 26euros for a small soup and a small glass of wine . Get in the real world .

Food quality and taste are quite good at this somewhat out of the way mountain restaurant. However, I can't get over the $40.00 cheeseburger which for what you get is outreagous.

Fancy chalet style restaurant on the ski slopes of Zermatt. Big bright windows brings in a lot of light even on a grey day in comparison with many of the older style chalets which are rather dark and gloomy. Friendly and efficient service and nice selection of dishes on their menu ranging from salads to pastas and burgers. Their 'tarte... More

Had a great lunch and glass of wine. The lamb burger with goat cheese and spicy mayo was the perfect lunch. The local petite Arvine and cornalin wines are delicious. The outside patio fells like you are actually on the Matterhorn!

We made Stafelalp at 2200 m our goal of the day and walked up to here from Zermatt. The conditions were the best possible when we arrived around noon with a clear blue sky surrounding the mighty Matterhorn. Surprisingly, we both chose Spätzli Hubel from the menu card. It is potato gnocchis with lamb liver if you wonder. The food... More

The restaurant is a bit out of the way from the main ski routes. Anyway it's worth the detour, especially in the afternoon on the way back to Zermatt. The food is fantastic, try the dessert sampler! The restaurant indoor is bright and airy with a large window front, decorated in a modern and cozy alpine style. Very friendly staff, upscale... More

This member of the Julen empire is located at Stafelalp, an an altitude of 2200 meters. The food offering (at lunch) is fairly extensive and there wine selection is surprising for a mountain-side restaurant. There is a premium for food and drink at this altitude; a 500ml bottle of Sprit cost 7 CHF (a bit over $7 USD). But, it... More
