The bar is lively and friendly at the Visp river at after ski hours, but the restaurant downstairs lack ambiance, the menu is lacklustre and the kitchen runs a routine show put on auto repeat.

Unusual venue with lovely sun loungers, seats on the roof, perfect for après ski drink. Bar is small but busy and the restaurant downstairs is friendly with an aquarium to view. The food is very tasty and service was good. Worth booking as can get very busy.

Nice place with idea and fine atmosphere. You will wait for food longer, but it worth it. They have great coctails and during summer, you can sit outside and relax... Just sit and chill out :)

Spent a week in Zermatt, last night of trip was Friday last, so went out for a drink. Bar staff are pro's great cocktails, should know had five, each made to perfection. So pleasant were the staff I left them a good tip. Music was right up my street, atmosphere, people, just right. I liked the old place (6 years... More

You think from the title of the restaurant and the prices that you could eat fish and any other seafood. However their main dishes are 80% burgers which of course are over-rated. However the staf is friendly and polite and the ambience of the restaurant trendy and up-high. But for sure not what you expect in terms of food.

We loved the Showboat, a quirky little restaurant in the basement of a well-know apres ski bar. Small but delightful menu featuring specials such as gourmet burgers (3 different mini burgers) and fish. Only drawback - once the restaurant was filled to capacity service almost ground to a halt and we had to wait a lengthy time before our check... More

We meant to visit Snowboat on our last trip, but we totally missed out! We went twice this time and loved it. It's warm, cozy, and modern, plus the bar tenders are very nice (and speak great English), and...the best part is the awesome white gluwein! Plus, the drinks were VERY reasonably priced at 7CHF. Same with a glass of... More

After reading good reviews of this restaurant I made reservations for my family for one evening during the week between Christmas and New Year's Eve. We enjoyed the lively atmosphere and attentive service at the upstairs bar and expected that we would equally enjoy our dinner downstairs, but the atmosphere and service upstairs didn't translate at all to the restaurant... The place is vertically 95% patronized by Americans. There are no locals there. The atmosphere and menu is posh. However execution and service is sub par. Don't get me wrong it taste good, but not worth the hick to get to it. Service is slow, behind, and poorly executed. They have one waitress doing everything taking food and drink orders... More
