average cold meat starters, average steak tartar (served without toast), average grilled meat, average service... but prices much over what it should be, as usual in zermatt. no special reason to go again, no special reason to avoid this place.

Each time a wonderful experience, outstanding quality of meat and fish prepared on the wood-burning grill combined with the amazing gratin. Lamb Carré is amongst the best we ever had.

Nicely decorated restaurant and friendly welcoming and service. We had a fondue as a starter which tasted well. However we were slightly disappointed with our boeuf tartar. The meat was not chopped as you would expect at a restaurant of this caliber and tasted way too much ketchup. Perhaps the grilled meat is a better choice here.

Nice service, good food - I am not the biggest fan of fondue but it is great there, great warm atmosphere. I would say this is wonderful place for friends dinner!!!

Our hotel suggested this restaurant and we were not disappointed. Loved the grill in the dining room with the beef and lamb skewers being cooked in front of you whilst chickens turn on the rotisserie. Local wines were good and service was really quick. In terms of atmosphere this is just what you want on a ski trip.

I was having dinner in the Zermatterstubli which is affiliated with the Grill. Great cheesefondue. The personnel was understaffex but trued to their best. A good sign ism allways that local people visit the place . They allso get most attention from the lovely hostess.

Very charming and cozy experience - 5 stars on atmosphere. Huge open fire grill for the meats - all very tasty. My husband and I are somewhat foodies but have to say we were shocked when the bill came - overly expensive. Great dining experience but extremely pricey!

We (my girlfriend and I) came here on Valentine's day for a romantic dinner. We were not let down! The atmosphere is very cosy, warm, and it was busy so do make a reservation! That meant that there was noise but it was not an inconvenience. The restaurant was full when we were there and yet we didn't have to... More

On entrance the staff are hard faced and it's almost like you are interrupting their evening. However they were great once you got passed the cold welcome. The place is super cosy and probably only fits 30 people. The menu is big as is the wine list. The food was perfect. Good quality and didn't take long to arrive. We... More

This good grill located in the village is famous for its beef filet skewers, it has as well a very good lamb, and a tasty goat cheese salad. The celery soup was ok. Ask for a table by the chimney but not too close.
