good bar service but food very ordinary

Staff lovely, very helpful. Food no great shakes though, I'm afraid to say. Atmospheric and good outside seating area but in terms of food, I would say it was overpriced and not up to standard.

My wife and I went to this place upon our arrival in Zermatt, and we had a great meal. Location: location wise, this is hard to beat. Located right on the main street, Bahnhofstrasse, I believe, this place is very easy to find, and for any occasions. Quality: my wife selected the burger and me, the gulasch soup, an Hungarian... I went to the pub last week to have a burger and some beers, i couldn't believe my eyes when the burger arrived, i had been to this pub in previous years and thought i knew what to expect, the place is a simple cozy pub and the burgers used to be served on simple round plates, now they're served... This establishment it very busy for good reason - superb burgers at reasonable prices. It does get very busy so you must pick your time carefully or be ready to wait. Staff are pleasant too

It has a nice buzzy atmosphere and serves great chips and burgers (not as good as the one in Chez Vrony though). Not many tables for seating so be prepared to eat at the bar. The waitress who served us did not smile and was not friendly and was not pleased when we tried to make room by moving an... More

In the middle of the village opposite the Cuckoo Club. A quiet understated pub with a lovely atmosphere and Cardinal which everyone seems to serve as the local ale. It will appeal to an older crowd of which I am one!

I had a day to myself while hubby skied, and passed by many other restaurants that were just more than I wanted to spend for a solo lunch. The chalkboard in front of the Brown Cow Pub advertised sandwiches at reasonable prices, so I stopped in for what was one of my favorite meals in Zermatt. Good service, great food,... More

Visited this pub several times for drinks after skiing and also had food a couple of times . Burgers good and price is reasonable for Zermatt. Best hot chocolates with rum served there than anywhere else we visited. Staff all friendly and helpful

We went to the Brown Cow Pub because nothing else was open for a late lunch. The place was packed and it was difficult to get a table. Once we sat down, the service was SLOOOW. The food was just average and, for the portions they serve, expensive. I don't think we will be going back
