Hearty pub grub, excellent for vegetarians too!

We lunched at the Brown Cow Pub early in May. It's conveniently located on the main street in Zermatt town, the Bahnhofstrasse. Their burgers made an excellent lunch, served with a tasty salad in a blue ceramic bowl and fries in a paper cone (the paper made interesting reading too, with some... read more

Was in Zermatt for just a couple of days and was looking for a fairly priced place to eat other then fast food. Found this little pub with barely any signage but noticed many people inside when I looked in the window. Decided to go in and give it a try. Food was delicious. They had a build your own... More

Good beers, burgers, and music. Nice break from the standard Swiss fare. Good service and Kid friendly. Good prices for Switzerland.

The staff were helpful in providing recommendations and welcoming customers into the establishment. Service was prompt and the food was really good. Can recommend the burgers. The menu prices were relatively cheap compared to many of the other places in Zermatt.

Good, cold beer that's inexpensive for Zermatt. Friendly staff. Central location. Good food that once again (burgers and fries were great), is cheap for Zermatt. Tight quarters though so it can be difficult (although possible) for larger groups.

Everywhere is so expensive in Zermatt! However, for a reasonably priced pub meal you can't beat this place. Friendly staff, good service and generous portions make for a welcome return to the town after a strenuous day in the mountains. Sky Sports on too without sound so that you can either watch or ignore.

It's hard finding something inexpensive when dining in Zermatt. Especially when you fancy some basic comfort food like hamburgers. The humble hamburger and chips combo can be a little exorbitant in Zermatt but Brown Cow gives you what you crave at rock bottom prices. It also has a real cozy feel and friendly bar staff. Really good range of drinks... More

Great pub in centre of town. Really friendly staff and food great with very quick service. Visited with two young children (9 & 6) who were made very welcome by staff. Well worth a visit!

A fun lively place anytime of day. Après ski beers with the Nacho’s with cheese or a portion of real potato chips are great. Also anytime the burgers with chips and coleslaw are fantastic. Real food that’s surprisingly good for a pub. Good for a casual night rather than the excesses that Zermatt restaurants are so good at.
