Thec first Floor has a bar and there was some music. You can meet locals and people from all over the world. Great people watching. I did not try the food. The bar staff was helpful and welcoming

When in Zermatt, Elsie's Bar is, what the French call, an "incontournable" - the English language has a shorter word for it: it's a "must". While Elsie herself has long (since the 1990s) departed for the Elysian Fields (where I hope she has as good a time as she had in Zermatt), she laid the foundation and set the standards... More

We went there for dinner with friends. The place itself is small and cosy and fulfills the expectations settingwise. However, all of us were a bit disappointed by the limited selection of the menu. If you like tartar, oysters and lobsters then you are fine, if not the choice becomes quite small....

Small cozy pub located in front of the church and on Zermatt main street is lovely. The girls running this pub are smiling and nice. Good evening time to spend here.

You can drink or eat here, but whatever you choose to do here, it will be worth the visit. We always eat here and love the "tartar" they prepare. Also the rest of the food is great. So, don't miss it.

Me, my partner and a group of family and friends all ate at Elsie's bar on two occasions while on our visit to Zermatt. The staff were all very friendly and attentive and did a great job of making us feel extremely welcome (especially the owner Phillippe). On top of all this, the food tasted excellent and was very well... More

Got told by everyone to go here. Yes it's a nice cosy bar with friendly staff but there are plenty others in the area. It was totally packed when we were there and it is a very small place so not overly comfortable if you have to stand up. Pop in and see for yourself but it is not somewhere... More

I can't imagine a more cosy or friendly place. It's pretty small but everyone seems to be welcome and the staff will do what they can to squeeze you in. They have a great range of local wines. Always good to go with the recommendations. Food looks great too.

The bar is located in a small room in the city centre. At night, it´s full of locals and tourists who enjoy some drinks and have a great laugh! Although I missed the former owner, I have to say it was a great night out! thanx!
