It is not the first time I eat something in Blatten but I had to write my first review about it! I have been coming here for over 15 years and the quality is always at the top. Whether you stop for a drink after a skiing day or for a meal after a long hike, it's always a pleasure.... More

My husband and I spent this morning walking to Gorner Gorge - 20 min from Zermatt. Doubled back to the hamlet of Blatten for lunch. Restaurant Blatten's high rating on TA is well deserved. We ordered the pumpkin soup each and split an entree of Chanterelle mushroom ravioli. We were given generous portions and the taste was superb. Dishes ordered... More

Loved this place. Stumbled upon it whilst walking back from a visit to the spectacular Gorner gorge and what a find. The host and his staff were brilliant. Full of smiles and so helpful. Two days later we visited again coming down from Furi and the Hanging bridge. Lovely cold beer and fantastic Strudel. Another lovely oasis in the Alps.... More

Its amazing how such a simple lunch can come in your top 10 great meals of all time and here's why... We were in Zermatt for my dad's 70th birthday. On the morning of his birthday we had planned to go up to Schwarzsee and walk down to the town centre stopping off at Blatten (where my parents had been... More

Stumbled onto this place while walking through the mountains. What a pleasant surprise! Summer menu featured chanterelle n beef salad, truffle venison carpaccio n other lovely dishes which I really didn't expect from a log shack in the forest. Ernest good service too.

We had a nice lunch at Blatten. After a short stroll from Furi we enjoyed the famous Lamb with Rosti and some berries for dessert.

On the way down the mountain from the Swartzsee and back into town, you will pass Blatten, a small house with barn that serves great food. You can huddle under the blankets they provide if it is cold or go inside. The mushroom soup in a bread bowl is out of this world. Everything we had was terrific. And the... More

We had so many great meals in Zermatt but this place really stands out in my memory for it's charm. They squeezed us in without a reservation and we had an incredible meal of mushroom soup, rosti and apricot tart. The atmosphere is perfection - this would be a great place to have lunch your first day in Zermatt.

This is by far one of the best restaurants on the slopes of Zermatt . The food is consistently good and has been for the last 10 years I have been coming . The owners are friendly and very funny , the atmosphere is relaxed and whereas some of the famous hutte in Zermatt can be sometimes a little offhand... More

Wonderful food, friendly service, lovely location (Furi-Zermatt piste, with a view of Matterhorn) - I strongly recommend truffle soup and escargots - and a very nice compliment drink from the chef
