My family and me went there to get a snack after a longer hike which was a bad plan, as the menu offers so many creative delicacies that we ate much more than just a snack. But it was more than worth it;it was delicious! It's not only the dishes that I highly recommend in Chez Vrony. The interiour is... More

A simply unforgettable meal from the moment you set foot in the restaurant. Massively rustic and atmospheric set in the Swiss valleys overlooking the Matterhorn mountain. We sat outside with blankets to keep us warm. We ate Swiss entrecôte of lamb and homemade goats cheese ravioli (great for my vegetarian wife). We also had a glass of Swiss wine (Cornalin... More

Excellent food and service. Same family ownership for 3 generations. Hamburger was very well prepared and the cheese dish was freshly made from their own cows.

A fantastic location, even though the weather was rainy and stormy we still enjoyed a fantastic lunch. The menu is wonderful, I could have chosen any number of things, the Bloody Mary soup was amazing and very warming, the perch had great comments as did my veal.the plate of selection of puddings was well worth finding room for, the apple... Chez Vrony certainly offers an atmosphere far from the cliches of a mountainside chalet you may bring with you. The touch from Max and Vrony and endless hours of finding the most exotic decoration pieces one can imagine are paying off with a warmth and comfort that makes you want to stay for hours (or just not leave). Their logo... More

We make it a point to have lunch here at least three times every year during our ski holiday. There's simply no other restaurant on the mountains with a kitchen as Chez Vrony. Tasteful dishes, excellent wines and stunning views. The only down side of the place is that you have to leave it in order to catch the last... More

One of the best places to eat in Zermatt with most likely the most amazing views of the mountains - but this lunch or dinner must be earned. A 1 1/2 hour hike up the mountain from Winkelmatten or a cable car ride together with a 30 minutes walk downhill are the two options. Make sure you reserve in advance... More

I just love this place. It becomes a full page in every photo book I make of my trips to Zermatt. Family run. Extremely high quality with sofas and a view to die for. Cafe fertigs, fish, salads and burgers complemented by the Matterhorn reflected in your wine glass.

Had 2 great lunches at Chez Vrony, amazing terrace with stunning Matterhorn views. Attentive service and a broad menu, everything you could wish for. Make sure you book in advance as you won't be getting a table as a walk in!
