We tried to go to Ferme Aigle but it was closed for the holidays, so we went in search of a place for lunch. This cafe was perfect for us--lively and full of locals (we were the only people speaking English when we were there). The burger was good, and my husband's fish was delicate and beautifully presented.

We went to Sion market which was great and came her for lunch after. The food was really nice, service good and bill for 4 people including wine was 220 francs...

Having business meetings in this beautifull little town in the Wallis canton I happenend to be invited by some local businessmen to the Bagdad (why the hell did they ever used this name for a restaurant in Sion?) and was pleasantly surprised about the originality of this restaurant, its terrasse (they just opened it thanksto a sunny day) and its... What an awesome culinary surprise in the middle of Sion's old town. While the front is not as inviting as other eateries in the area, do step in, as the food is totally worth it. Very well presented, whether on slates, rectangular plates, the dishes are creative, tasty and very well balanced. I had a great foie gras followed by... More

Nothing extravagant, but a great trendy place with a good atmosphere. The food is very nice and the quality shouldn't disappoint anyone

Excellent meal in pleasant surroundings with really friendly service. Couldn't fault the food and the prices were good value (by Swiss standards). Our only quibble was the after dinner cappuccino, which had been asked for strong and seemed to have hardly any coffee in it. This didn't spoil a very pleasant evening meal.

Very nice place to spend a good culinary moment in the middle of Sion's historic center. Try the tartar they propose in different variaties, very good choice of local wines. Very well located for a after lunch / dinner walk thorugh the historic center. Very friendly young service.

This is our most regular watering hole, and we eat here frequently. Good for the tartar, seasonal offerings and salads. Pricey, but not them in particular - pricey is the local standard.
