Gabbani is a well known name in Lugano: you may get almost everything you wish, in food, vines, cheeses, fruits, breads. From sandwich, ready to go, to pizza, hot and fresh baked, to meat, raw or already cooked...

This is a small eatery in the heart of Lugano. You can either stay for a meal or buy bread and some sweets to go. We like to dine there at lunch because it is a good value with good food.

Asparagus risotto, Capretto (baby goat - typical Easter dish - really tasty), beef - and really really wonderful wine selection (I notice selected by the winner of world sommelier of the year!). The waiters were helpful, the other guests kind with our children... a superb meal I would repeat over and over again. The snacks with our pre-meal drinks kept... More

I happened to be in Lugano last Wednesday and wandered into Gabbani in the late afternoon. They were setting up for the aperitivo and the place looked inviting so we came back an hour later and....WOW!! I was not expecting such a crowd on a rainy random March evening in Lugano! Great crowd, nice people, good wine and nice appetizers.... More

Not many people. Quite calm on a Friday night. The busiest day, I have been told, is Wednesday. On Friday they do not offer much to eat. Only parmigiano cheese. Quite expensive for what you get. 14 chf for a coke and a spritz. Service is average.

Fresh fruit, croissants and capuccino. I was in heaven. But there was more-hard boiled eggs, yogurts, pastries, sandwiches, hams and cheese. And a choice of beverages. For an additional fee guests could choose and American or British breakfast that included either omelettes or pancakes.

Located in the old town just off the square Dante Center, this classic Italian salumari has fresh sandwiches, pizza, rolls and other scrumptious items for a nice packed lunch that you can enjoy by the lake on a bench. The choices in cured and air dried meats as well as olives, artichokes, mushrooms etc are mind boggling. There are also... More

A nice place, propper, stylish and in the very heart of the old town. Superior room was large for a Swiss hotel, nice wooden floor and the windows perfectly soundprooved. Room had a pleasant odor. Breakfast room very nice and lovely decorated, however they could pay a little bit more attention to details, such as filling up the breadbasket, refill... More
