Our party of 4 adults had mixed feelings about our recent dinner at La Tinera. FOOD Risotto was ok - generous portion but not a lot of taste. Fried fish dish was very good - crunchy, light, hint of seasoning. The daily special of mixed boiled meats was bland - and my wife was not sure what she was eating.... More

The risotto with porcini mushrooms was spectacular! We enjoyed this Ticino restaurant that is well known to the locals. The service was very good and friendly. Our server encouraged us to try the wine in the traditional ceramic bowls. We were glad that we did! We liked the atmosphere in this cellar restaurant.

The value here was 3 gbp signs - but I found it to be VERY cheap for Switzerland. The food quality was OK - the special (asparagus ravioli) was good - but compared to other meals, it was not fantastic. The house wines were not great. All in all, Lugano has better to offer, but for a cheap meal in... More

Had the parmesan risotto with veal and asparragus. It was very good! My husband had a great cut of meat cooked perfectly and they also have a great wine selection. Enjoyed the place and athmosphere

We discovered the restaurant thanks to the reviews on Trip Advisor. My mom and I went there for lunch, it was towards the end of the lunch hour; therefore, the restaurant was not very crowded and must say very peaceful. My mom had an excellent penne with artichoke and shrimp and I had a house wine served in their signature... More

.. Real Grotto is here, Gorini .. If you are the one who are looking for your meal in Swiss-Italian restaurant in Lugano, I would give some advice to you. Tinera restaurant is one of few original grotto Italian cuisine restaurants which admires your visit to Tessin. In this restaurant could maximize their capacity to over than 50 seats. The... More

We went there pretty early for dinner as my toddler typically eats dinner around 6PM. We were pleased with the fact that we were able to get a table without reservation and that the waiters were courteous. Great atmosphere and they had a comfortable and unique toddler's seat for our child. Appetizers and desserts were winning all the way. For... More

We just ate here and believe me, if you know and love Italian food then you will not be disappointed when you come here. My husband and I shared a cold meat selection with a salad and complimentary pickled vegetables. He had cotechino (Italian sausage) with lentils and potatoes, I had risotto con porcini mushrooms and we washed it down... More
