Great place to enjoy a good quality morning cappaccinno

Definitely a place where the locals haunt for their morning cappaccinno/espresso with a fabulous bakery. I saw far too many well heeled slim women have a highly decorated tart/cake and espresso - I think this is all they must eat in a day! Steeped in history (secret world war 2 peace meetings... read more

Coffees were very good and the environment was pleasant. Staff was overall attentive. Sweets could be a little better in my opinion but also good.

Had a great lunch for four of us. My teenage children love the food and definitely the cakes. Service and ambience were excellent, washrooms were clean. Pricy but worth spending for such a good meal.

The coffee is of a high standard - most coffee in Italy is and Lugano is in the italian area of Switzerland. They had no problems welcoming is with a baby in large buggy. Fabulous and decadent!!!

This is a classic and super good pastry shop. Not to be missed for an afternoon coffee or tea. I did not pay attention if they serve meals, i believe so. I was too much focused on my dessert!

I'm a local and I went there after having heard about it from friends... I found it expensive and the coffee and cake we had were not particularly good, for sure not worth what we paid for. You can give it a go because the interior is very nice, but otherwise there are many other better options if you find... More

This place was recommended for our visit to Lugano and it lived up to its reputation. The historic restaurant is comfy with a good atmosphere and friendly service. The coffee's are good but the real star in this place is the vast array of delicious cakes and pastries. Have a diffetent one each day for a week and you will... More

If you are in Lugano, you must go to the Grand Cafe Al Porto. To be in a place with such an interesting history is incredible by itself. But the sweet goodnesses behind the glass case are so pleasing to the eye and even more delicious to the tastebuds. As you sip your delicious coffee and savor your tasty choice... More

Best thing to say, I would love to go back! Food, service and ambiance was top quality. Only little 'crib' - it can be very noisy when full.

Tired of walking? In need for a nice place where to drink a good coffee, or a cup of tee, eating something small but " wow". You found your place! This historical restaurant will offer you a place inside, or some small tables outside. Their sweet are the most beautiful in the city, and the athmosphere is the same as... More
