OMG!!! I'm visiting Mürren since 1983 and I know very well that Mürren is not famous for his outstanding restaurants and services, but after visiting the Restaurant at Hotel Jungfrau for the new years dinner I was really shocked: AMBIENCE: horrible ambience! our table was not in the main dining room. illumination was absolutely un-cosy and zero charming. - SERVICE:... For convenience, we decided the first night to eat at the hotel. A Rick Steves tour group was staying there and filled up the room with the exception of one table, which we took. The food was just average and the salad bar was well below par. In this big room sat the salad bar floating like an abandon island.... More

Really good food, Switzerland style. Do not expect the food to be like home, but it is really good and well prepared.

We stayed here for three nights and had two meals at its restaurant. The dishes were typical of the local selections. One thing stood out was its Red Lentil Curry Soup.....We really liked this fusion soup as it was not typical here.

The menu offers choice, and the food is tasty. We ate two dinners over a three day stay, and enjoyed all the menu choices we made.

The historical Hotel Jungfrah in Murren, Swizerland seemed like the perfect place to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were staying at another place, but I was intrigued by this hotel. I emailed them to make dinner reservations and they responded immediately, even responded twice more to clarify our plans. We were greeted by name at the door by the very... More

We didn't eat a meal at Hotel Jungfau but we did drink one of the best Mohitos I ever did consume. After a day of hiking we stopped by the bar on the way home to our hotel and the very friendly lady behind the bar suggested we try her favorite Mojito recipe at which time she went out to... More

The cheese fondue is a favourite and the rest of the food is pretty good but the owner(dont remember her name) was so friendly and helpful!

The chef is amazing. The cheese fondue is a must, or try the pumpkin soup as a first course. The baked salmon on a bed of wasabi mashed potatoes and rosemary green beans was delicious. The waitress , Constance was so very friendly explaining the different entrees and recommending various dishes. The dessert of caramel brûlée is well worth it.

One of us had a pizza - looked like a canned pizza mix. It tasted even worse than it looked. The tiny salad bar was ok (not bad). The rostii was unimaginative and rather dry. Had a small bottle of Murren Wine and the bill was about $90. Horribly overpriced for this low quality food. I compare all Murren restaurants... More
