We had dinner there while staying in Murren based on the good reviews. My son wanted fondue. It had to be for two people only. Hence my husband had to order the same, the meat fondue. A big plate of raw meat along with many small plates of canned food and fruits. The soup to cook the meat was tasteless.... More

Ate there the first night in Murren because I was staying in the hotel; never had dinner anywhere else for over a week because it was so good. Menu changes nightly and deciding what to eat is difficult. Service is exquisite: five star level like the food, but also personal and amiable if you want. The hotel is just as... More

We stayed in their chalet for a week and had our breakfast and dinners there daily. Each meal was excellent and the service was wonderful. We didn't have a bad meal the entire stay. Highly recommend if visiting Murren.

This is the restaurant of the Hotel Blumental. Generally quite good food, and the half-board option at the hotel is a good value. Waiters are wonderful.

Great Swiss-style cheese fondue. Lamb and bratwurst served with the extra gravy the chef prepared--delicious!

Order the "Tages Menu" and you won't be disappointed. It includes a dinner salad of local produce. Every meal was cooked to perfection and tasted so good. Most of the main dishes came with some type of sauce and the sauces were not over powering. Each meal consisted of meat, veggies and starch. So good.

Tried every potato listed on the menu....and they were all delicious...didn't actually mean to order all that and after quizzical looks from the waiter...I finally understood why. Nice romantic dinner, was definitely the nicest restaurant we ate in Murren. Perfect for my birthday dinner.

We ordered some soup and spaghetti, however, our waiter forgot about the soup and brought the main course straight away. We weren't disappointed with the food! It was brilliantly done, tasty and properly cooked!

Terrible service yesterday at dinner Heavily understaffed. We were seated and made to wait for 10 minutes before he brought the menu. He then made a comment about management After waiting 10 to 15 minutes for someone to take the order we gave up and left Must say really unprofessional

My wife and I had a superb dinner (on my birthday) at Restaurant La Grotte in the Hotel Blumental in Murren. We shared a "mixed salad" as an appetizer, which was very good, and then we each had a delicious fresh fish dish. The fish was accompanied by a healthy portion of veggies that were also exceptional. The dining room... More
