We enjoyed all the various meals we had here as part of our stay at the Oberland hotel. The soups were superb as was the salad bar. The staff were very attentive and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.

Recommended by the guide book to visit here for some special Swiss food. Ordered Veal risto, cold cuts and chicken ragout. Veal risto is good and tasty. The pickles and meats are very good and not salty for cold cut. The curry chicken is a fusion type of food and mixing fruit with rice. That is quite an interesting dish... More

For 42 CHF per person I was expecting high quality fondu. I received canned food and frozen meat. The menu exaggerates the dish and tricks you into thinking you are getting an authentic meal. It was the worst dining experience that I can remember. In all honesty the best part was the tap water.

Very nice place in the center of town. Food was excellent, wait staff a bit stuffy. Not sure if it was me or an "American" thing. I noticed others getting nice rolls served to them and we got the sliced bread (which was very good). The veal cordon blu and stroganoff overshadowed the waitress with the attitude so I would... Wife and I found this place by random. It was pretty damn good. It seemed like everyone ordered the fondue once we looked around. We didn't but our dishes were very nice. Good wine at a reasonable price. Waiter spoke English so that helped. Really nice ambiance, very low key. We would go back.

The atmosphere at the place is nice, the waitress speaks english and most of all the food is great. We tried the meat foundue and were not disappointed. Tipp: you can order more meat and rice/fries that are also included in the price.

We randomly chose Restaurant Chalet for our last night in Interlaken having had some rather variable food (at similarly variable prices...) and we were very glad we did. We came in quite late in the evening and the friendly waitresses were happy to find us a cosy little table. Its quite traditional inside with dark wood tables, embroidered table cloths... More

My husband and I were in Interlaken and wanted to dine at one spot that happened to be closed (because it was Christmas Day). We just started walking, trying to find something and we stumbled upon the restaurant beneath the City Hotel Oberland. We didn't have reservations, but luckily we were early to dinner and they were able to accommodate... More
