Great Food and Service

Dinner was very good and the service was excellent. Not a fan of salad bars so I skipped Barry's. Certainly a restaurant to return to. Fine value and experience.

Hard to describe this one. One is the strange set-up; subterranean with a fake log chalet in the middle. Probably works in winter but in summer turns it into a strangely claustrophobic hothouse. Luckily the surroundings are a distraction compared with the mind boogling food. What can you say, bits of fruit where you least expect them, food stuffed inside... More

We were served by Hugo, a Portuguese highly qualified professional, that explained all food options and guided us for the best choice of wine, a grape Cornalin from Valais, very good!! we had a great fondue shared as starter that together with the wine, service and... Barry's is hidden away on the first floor of the Eiger Hotel and has been decorated to resemble a wooden chalet. I really liked the interior and our table for two was private and I didn't feel squeezed into the restaurant. An overwhelming selection of wine (it took us nearly 5 minutes just to read through it all and try... More

Visited this restaurant on ski-holiday in Grindelwald. They have nice bar inside, where I waited for the table. Table was found pretty fast, although it was saturday evening. The food was good, but nothing special. We had good wine for reasonable price, I can't say anything bad about this restaurant. But either I didn't see anything special in it. So... More
