Dined in the Chaliber a couple of times - very good atmosphere and friendly staff; can get pretty busy so booking might be advisable?

We enjoyed a great evening with very friendly staff, a great choice of quality dishes. I for one enjoyed the "Pot-au-feu" that was remarkable, savoury without being fat. They also have a good choice of wine. The atmosphere is very nice and doesn't make you feel you're in a hotel restaurant.

Staff extremely friendly and also special wishes for drinks could be fulfilled. Furthermore the restaurant was full but we were helped to find a table. Nice

after days and days of no egg breakfast these ladies made us fried eggs with bacon, they were great.. thanks to the lady named kim at the buri ski rental, she spoke german to what we wanted

We had searched for the best resturant in Grindelwald (thanks tripadvisor) before we came so i booked xmas dinner here long in advance. I should say that i emailed them in october i think for reservations / questions and i recieved excellent and quick responses. A week before xmas i received another mail asking where we wanted to sit etc... More

One of those must do restaurants in Grindelwald. Its a charming place, with good service, great range of food and in balance to many others in the town good value!

Found this place on my recent visit to Grindelwald. If you are on a budget, the Snack-Bar does excellent take-away Burgers with heaps of french fries! Even better, you can chill out with a cold beer as you wait to be served.

we stayed in grindelwald for three nights, eat here twice. seems like the best restaurant in town, according to reviews. we agree. not much choice for me as vegetarian, but where do you in Sweiss..? had quiche one time, rosti the other time. both fine. They have a long wine list!!
