True Art on a plate

Not only is the food a dream to behold, but the fusion of tastes can only be created by a Maestro! The reception by Jana Zwesper and the service personnel is incomparable. Perfect from the moment you arrive to the last second. Thank you André and Jana for yet again the most fantastic evening.

Amongst the best: Worldwide. And not since yesterday: Consistently over the last 30 years. This is André Jaeger's Fischerzunft. Everything here is top: The ambiance of the place (a fishermen's guild house going back to 1411), the excellent service and, of course, the creations from the kitchen. Heavenly!

We found out about this Restaurant from a guide book and based on the located beside the Rhine River we decided we would try lunch here. We were only in Schaffhausen, Switzerland for a day trip out of Zurich. The service was impeccable and the food was creative, and wonderful. We had the fish of course and the food lives... More

Enjoyed the best fish buffet of my life at this spectacular restaurant. Each offering was not only a gastronomical delight but an exceptional visual feast as well. From the top notch service and attention to detail to the exceptional wines and buffet selection, this truly was an experience I will never forget. A big thank you to André, Jana and... More

On our regular short stop overs in Schaffhausen we always spend a night at the Fischerzunft. The rooms are opulent but nice, some with stunning river views. The location is ideal, just bordering on the town centre and its pedestrian zone. The food is, of course, innovative, well-researched and always very delicate and tasty. The mix of Asian and European... More

André Jaeger is a Wizard in the Kitchen and he will enchant you with his creations. He calls his fusion between Asian and French Cuisine "La Cuisine du Bonheur" and it is indeed pure happiness that one get there. My wife and I enjoyed it immensely.

This was actually the most expensive meal that we have ever had in Europe. But if you compensate for the general price level in Switzerland, now extreme to the particularly strong Swiss franc, the price was not unreasonable, given its excellence. We went for the Ying-Yang menu, with the wine selection. Interesting compositions and generous portions. Perfectly timed service. Some... More

I went with my 13 year old daughter and two of her friends. Service was impeccable: the way I like it at an elegant top-end restaurant, very attentive, charming but not over the top. Food was excellent. We had pike perch with mango chutney (many of the dishes have an Asian twist). The fish was juicy, the skin crispy, it... More

I had a lunch at their bistro today (a bistro being a restaurant with a main dish costing on av. ca. 30chf). I had a set of dim sum and spring rolls for starters - most of them were avarage, but one dim sum was actually tasting nasty as if it was filled with old fish...bleh... . Than had some... More
