Great place for a fondue in winter !

You're cold, you want a fondue ? you now know where to go ! The atmosphere is nice at night as you go in the cave under the building. The staff is nice. The cheese served in the fondue is good and the price reasonable !

We sat outside on a very warm evening and very much enjoyed our meal. We started with the dried beef, next came the fondue, and then I was so full I was only able to eat an ample salad for my dinner. Everything was delicious and the service was very good.

The ambience of the restaurant is nice. The fondue was average. Worth a visit for the overall experience. The strong odor of cheese in the restaurant may bother some but I enjoyed it. Recommend that you hang your coat near the enterance.

This is a nice restaurant. There is one part on the ground floor and the other in a cellar. The menus are in French with English subtitles. There is a good selection of fondues, something to please everybody. And the menu contains "tasting notes" to guide guests who are unfamiliar with the types of cheeses. Fondues are for a minimum... Visit this place every year and always feel the same. First of all, it is a good place to try out famous Swiss fondue (and you have a large choice here). Secondly, the atmosphere is extremely friendly. The Taverne seems family-owned, and that is why you are likely to have nice people around. Better coming there with your friends -... More
