It's delicious and it's very authentic. Great place to eat real good Swiss ktiche such as Kutteln, Pastetli, Riz Kazimir, Bratwurst, Cordon-Bleu, etc. Don't be afraid to take "Kutteln" (stomache). You wil not regret it. It's delicious.

Some of the food was good, though a small step below the other Lucerne restaurants we tried. There were 2 issues though, that make 3 stars appropriate. First, their risotto was terrible, soaked in a buttery substance to a semi liquid state. Secondly, the waitress messed up one of the orders .We all saw it coming due to her issue... More

A real nice old style Swiss restaurant with an excellent Swiss menu. Game season is one of its specialities.

It was very clear that locals come to have dinner and a drink here. The server knew exactly what to bring them without even taking an order. My husband states this was his favorite meal in Switzerland, he had chicken risotto. I had a pastry shell filled with veal. Mine was okay, but his was better. I was disappointed because... More

We had Wirsthaus Galliker on our list, so we stopped at 18:00 the night we arrived in Lucerne. It was a Friday, and we did not have reservations. We were treated very well; if we could be dine by 19:30, they would be most happy to work us in. Wow--what a treat. We had two delicious appetizers (the beet salad... More

My wife and I went to this restaurant because it had the most reasonable prices for an authentic Swiss experience. We were beyond pleased with the local Eichnok beer and the amazing, Swiss-style food. We both got a large beer .5 liter and 2 entrees (veal bratwurst with amazing Swiss Rosi (hash browns) and a veal pastry with some of... More

This is Lucerne - as it was years ago .... Traditional at its best. You get there real Swiss food, not pretentious, but affordable qualitiy, some reliable Swiss wines and an atmosphere that you will never forget: Cosy and friendly - and real people of Lucerne, rich and less rich - as you and I. We've enjoyed every minute there.

For me the food on my plate is not a work of art - it's the taste that counts. And this is what I felt when I came to this relaxed, old style 'stube' which has been in business for a long time now. The restaurant seems to be divided into 2 sections - one side with table cloths and... More

My husband and I were looking to I immerse ourselves in the local culture. This place was perfect. It was a little tricky to find - it is on the main road with the entrance at the back, It is very traditional and basic in terms of decor and styling. It does feel like you are dining at someones house.... More

We were in Lucerne for a couple days and tried to get in here on the first night - full. So went for lunch the following day. Very busy and you share tables (not necessarily a bad thing) so went away for an hour's walk and came back about 13.30. The aged ladies who look after you are kind and... More
