This was a second choice for my husband to have schnitzel, as the first on was closed on Monday and it was even not as expensive. Not only was it the best he had but prepared in oil, not butter the way he liked it. The service was wonderful. After experiencing the food price in Switzerland, this was well worth... More

I'm starting with Carsten the waiter because he was without any doubt one of the very best waiters we have ever had anywhere - friendly but polite, efficient and knowledgeable. He made a wonderful meal even better. My wife started with a very generous size buffalo mozzarella and tomato salad while the barley soup that Carsten recommended was fantastic. My... More

We used this restaurant by default due to rain and disappointment of where we were going to be seated in another restaurant. Food was uncolorful, EXPENSIVE ($52.00) for a main course and glass of wine. They frown on you sharing a meal, but there is too much food for people that eat reasonably instead of stuffing themselves. We had to... More

We decided to stop here for an early dinner after a walking tour of Lucerne. The restaurant is a little off the beaten track and a bit hard to find. It is not far from the Lion Monument and Hofkirche St. Leodegar Church. We were seated inside near the central food service area. Our service was prompt and the food... More

I happened in on this place and sat out under an umbrella out on the sidewalk plaza, a rather unpretentious location. I noticed the garden out back later which I would have liked more. I have remarked about the price, which for the steak ( delicious ), a half liter of wine, cheese plate, and two cups of coffee ONLY... More

I have been to this restaurant a few times over the years and decided to go again this past week. The garden out back is really cute and you wouldn't think you were near one of Luzern's main roads. The food as usual was great and in my opinion reasonably priced (for Switzerland). The service staff were not really what... More

This was my first night back to Lucerne in nearly 20 years and I was in search of authentic local cuisine and atmosphere. I stayed in the sister hotel property across the street and it was quite convenient and recommended that the hotel Rebstock restaurant be my choice. Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately greeted by the restaurant manager... More

My partner and i went here a few days ago. We ordered a soup, chicken wings with chips, and 1 non alcoholic drink, and this cost us over 50francs! Staff were not particularly friendly. Soup was terrible. Very expensive for what we got. Would not go back.

First of all I should say that the staff was not bad or mean spirited, but there was just an overall mediocrity and lack of caring throughout the entire experience. For example when we arrived no one acknowledged us at all. 4 or 5 staff members walked past us in the entry as if we were invisible. I was actually... More
