Curious place: reasonable food, very expensive, grumpy owner

The quality of food is reasonable: we had fondue and raclette that were about right. The waitresses were very helpful, nice and smiling. What we did not like was its owner, quite grumpy and making us feel a little bit uncomfortable.

Very expensive....meat and chicken fondue....for 3 persons is about 200 CHF. Fondue with rice is strange.

Don't be put off by the grumpy manager the staff are very helpful and speak multiple languages. The fondue was great and we all left a few notches wider on our belts. Be adventurous with your fondue, you'd be surprised what tastes good smothered in cheese.

We were not sure about entering this restaurant, the lady behind the counter shouted, "How many people?" But we really wanted fondue, so we went in. We were seated at the top which was not at all busy. We ordered the family fondue. It arrived with bags of bread and a pot of baby potatoes. It was seriously tasty. At... More

An intimate Swiss place with homey furnishings and decor, this place offers great salad, cheese and oil fondues and other Swiss specialties. Great place to meet your friends, or have a special night out. I love the wood/swiss chalet look. The menu was impressive as well.

I was visiting Luzern with 4 guests from Hong Kong when they decided to change plans and have fondue in before travelling back to Zurich. I quickly googled the restaurant and found it in the pedestrian area. We were lucky to get a table for 5. Except the manager, nobody spoke german, but I understood very quickly why. The restaurant... This is one of the best restaurants I've visited in lucerne. I went alone and despite a lot of customers coming in every 20mins, the man in the restaurant allow me to a reservation for myself.. The food is delicious! The first time I tried was the cheese fondue with bread for 1 pax.. The next day I returned and... More

The food in fondue house is just too good. They have easily the best raclette i've ever had in all of switerland. The way it is served is worth every bit. The other food as well is very good, they have yummy soups salads and very good spaghetti. wee-bit expensive so not exactly VFM but its all worth it. The... More

It was our first visit to Switzerland and we decided to try the local fondue. As we approached this restaurant a friendly man invited us in and joked with us about where we wanted to sit, before explaining how to correctly eat fondue. The secret is to stir rather than dip, by the way. The fondue was absolutely delicious. Words... More
