We recently visited Lucerne and the Fondue House. While I was expecting an amazing experience, given the menu prices (priced like a five star restaurant), the experience was far from amazing. We found the staff were somewhat rude and don't offer the basics in terms of hospitality. They also wouldn't offer another table tap water. They said they "don't offer... More

Like many things in Switzerland, the Fondue House is pricey. The food was excellent and it filled us up, but not sure it was worth the cost. We ordered the cheese fondue with a side of mixed vegetables and chicken. The cheese fondue was excellent though and everything we put into it came out tasting amazing. I would recommend going... To start off, I have never had fondue before. And I love cheese. So I probably couldn't go wrong here. We had a few people recommend the Fondue House before we arrived in Lucerne, but we were a bit taken aback by the prices of the fondue. After taking a stroll through Lucerne, we just realized food here was generally... More

We LOVED this restaurant so much! After dining there for lunch one day, we returned the next day for lunch AND dinner! The service was fantastic and the food just kept getting better. Everything we tasted was heavenly, but we would highly recommend the Krauter Fondue as it has a lively mix of herbs that most definitely pleased our palettes.... More

We ordered the Krauter Fondue with fresh herbs. It was the best fondue we had had in Switzerland! The restaurant was decorated in cozy, traditional Swiss wooden carvings. We have eaten here twice and might come back for a third time before we leave! Yes, it's a little pricey but the food is worth it.

This restaurant is much to expensive. The cheapest meal is 30€ and that was for the classic raclette. 54€ per person for a fondu! Sorry to say this, but that's stealing! And the service was terrible. One of the stuff even told me that many customers have complined about the prices and of cause the owner don't care ! They... More

Great cheese fondue, we also had potatoes and steamed vegetables along with the bread. You can't go wrong with the cheese fondue. The service was attentive, and the atmosphere was very nice. It was expensive, with a bottle of wine. But, this is Switzerland and everything is expensive. Besides we can't get those types of cheeses anywhere else,so it was... More

Very very very expensive with little environment and modest service. Should have checked here first. Cheapest meal we could find with a carafe of wine 135 CHF. Should have left when we read the menu.
