It was our first visit to Switzerland and we decided to try the local fondue. As we approached this restaurant a friendly man invited us in and joked with us about where we wanted to sit, before explaining how to correctly eat fondue. The secret is to stir rather than dip, by the way. The fondue was absolutely delicious. Words... More

As is all of Switzerland, this place is very expensive. That being said, you get a lot of food. Keep that in mind. You don't need a portion for everyone. We shared two portions between four of us and it was more then we could eat. We were here on New Years Day so there weren't a lot of restaurants... More

The food is very expensive and unfortunately did not meet our expectations. My friends and I were really hyped up to give cheese fondue a try and were initially hesitant to pay so much. However, we decided to just dive in and give it a shot anyway. Unfortunately, our enthusiasm was not met well by the poor service. They do... More

We were really looking forward to trying a Swiss fondue at this restaurant and had read some good reviews. The restaurant was full, which we thought was a good sign and the atmosphere inviting. We couldn't wait to get tucked in to some traditional Swiss cuisine. However, our excitement stopped almost immediately when the waiter came to take our order.... More

The last time I was here it was in 2011. Back then, food was great, experience was super and staff were very friendly. We gave a $50 euro tip for the waitor. This time around, I did not even make it to the table. Upon entering for lunch, a waitor, looking very stressed, came over and ask us how many... More

Came here with my family during a tour of Europe. Wanted to try classic Swiss fondue and found this place in the old part of Lucerne. The restaurant was full and we were fortunate to get a table immediately. We ordered the three course set menu which had the cheese fondue, meat oil fondue and of course the fruit chocolate... More

You have to fondue in Switzerland, right? The food was excellent and the portions were huge. We thought about getting a 3-course meal for 4 but that seemed like way too much food. So we ordered individually and shared, 1 cheese, 1 meat/chicken with broth, 1 casserole, and of course 1 chocolate. The quantity of food served is insane. There... More

My husband and I visited the Fondue House because it seemed like a pretty neat dining concept for Switzerland. The food was excellent - my only issue was I ordered the 3 course for two persons and received way more food than we could ever think of eating- do not get me wrong it was fantastic. The biggest issue was... More

The Fondue House was a fun and exciting experience. My wife and I had great time dipping the wide range of food that was brought to the table. We order the three curse meal for two; there was more food that we could eat. We started off with crisp salad, followed by the traditional cheese fondue dip, with bread and... More

It is surprisingly difficult to find Fondue and Raclette in Lucerne, so this is the place to go toin Lucerne to satisfy these cheesy cravings. Our table of six ordered the traditional vacherin, Gruyère and garlic fondue, sheep cheese fondue, and the herb fondue. My favorite was the traditional. It came with potatoes and bread to dip into it, and... More
