in a maze of rooms one of which has a river view they serve up well done classic bistro food. Popular with the locals there is one room that looks out on the river which is worth getting a seat in if you can.

the menu, the preparations and the setting add up to a pleasant experience; the quality is good and the prices are appropriate; the service was just fine!

They ave a very nice terrace overlooking the river, but it is too small and cannot accept a table for more than 4 people. We ate at the outside courtyard which is in fact the street with a small side view to the river. The food was good, but super expensive and the waiters were nice but quite incompetent. The service... More

We turned up fairly early in the evening saying we would be back at 7pm and would they have a table on the terrace for us? They thought not but in the end there was one available up on the first floor overlooking the river and the road along it. The food was delicious but our waitress seemed to suffering... More

I had dinner at this restaurant while on a two-week business trip to Lucerne. I ate in the outdoor courtyard, which was pleasant. The bread, salads, entrees, desserts and wine were all good. I would recommend this restaurant.

The concierge at the Art Deco Hotel Montana suggested this restaurant. I was somewhat concerned about some of the reviews which mentioned the smoky bar since I believe smoking is permitted in Lucerne restaurants and my husband and I detest smoking in restaurants. You do have to enter the restaurant through the smoky bar, but once inside the dining area... More

Having eaten in Paris, I can say that the food is comparable at Brasserie Bodu. The one thing for me that I did not like, was that, like in Paris, there is lots of smoking inside. In fact, when my husband and I first walked in someone was smoking a cigar. I am not French so it bothers me a... More

We did not have a reservation and there was no free table, fair enough but the welcome was not nice at all and I am glad we had lunch somewhere else.

Went solo on a Friday night after reading about the steak tartare. The atmosphere was very Parisian, the service was very attentive and the steak tartarew (spicy) was one of the best I've ever had. I went back for lunch with a friend 2 days later and also had the mussels. Fantastic place, highly recommend it.

The food was quite good, although not special enough to stick in the mind a few days later. But the real treat is eating on the small balcony overlooking the river walk, watching the diners and strolling people below, with the sun setting. Avoid the courtyard tables out front, because trucks park in the plaza and there's no view. Likewise,... More
