As it's tradition in Geneva to eat fondue at the first sighting of snow and as there was a 100% chance of snow in the night we decided to get a jump on the fondue rush and book ourselves in to Le Gruyerien for an evening meal. There were 3 of us and we shared the moitie-moitie fondue which came... More

We were there with a group from work. We had a nice fondue with ham, sausage and cheese. The restaurant is Good, specially to go with friends. Nothing exceptional but agreeable.

Second fondue eaten on this trip. It is really difficult to choose one over the other as both were really good. Nonetheless, I have to say the portion in Le Gruyerien is perfect for one person and the flavor is well balanced. I had the moitié-moitié with a glass of champagne; very good fondue and the champagne was just ok.... More

I really enjoyed my dinner at Le Gruyerien's Plainpalais location. There were a lot of locals, which was a good sign. Had the fondue moitie-moitie, which was really the epitome of what I imagined Swiss fondue should be like. Silken, rich, with just the right blend of cheeses. Super tasty. They were generous with the delicious bread and potatoes to... More

This was real waste of time, money and opportunity!!!! Staff was indifferent to the guests, the plate of specialities was two sort of cured ham and a pice of cheese 2x2 cm small. Very dirty place and toilets worthy of a public bus station in Marokko Don't go, there a plenty better places I Geneva downtown.

This is definitely the best place for Swiss specialities. It was the best fondue I have ever had. Definitely worth the walk out of the center.

We had dinner at their new Plainpalais branch and took two admittedly-delicious portions of moitié-moitié fondue. Our hostess was very nice and insisted we have a little more when we were done. We were almost full, but figured why not. Just a small gratuity, restaurants do it all the time to get repeat clients! Right? Nope, an 18-franc surcharge on... More

Already several times I enjoyed their famous moitie-moitie fondue. Very friendly staff and good swiss cuisine specialized in treats from the area of Gruyere. Make sure to taste a good piece of tarte tatin with double cream of Gruyère. Sometimes it's a little too sweet ... During cold season reservation needed.

This is by far one of the best Swiss restaurants in Geneva. The fondues are just delicious, they have the traditional Half-half fondue, the hole vacherin, a goat cheese fondue or even a tomato fondue ! And you can feel the homie touch ! The dried meats are good, and the deserts... Oh the deserts ! If you are looking... More

In switzerland you don't usually go a restaurant to eat fondue, it's more something you do with your family or a bunch of friends at home. Restaurants that serve fondue and are not located in a ski resort are usually tourist traps and avoided by locals. How pleasantly was I suprised by le Gruyerien as the moitie moitie fondue was...
