Very nice restaurant and fondue, but long waiting list for reservation

We went there on Tue, to try the fundue as suggested by a friend. The earliest reservation was for Thu with the constraint of leaving before 20h. We had a fondue for 2 people (we were 2) and half a liter of white wine, and payed 66 CHF. We ordered fondue no garlic. It comes with bread. The fondue... read more

Came here on a Friday night with a group as part of a small conference, and so everything was already taken care of in terms of reservations and the choice of menu. As all of the reviews have noted, a really informal atmosphere with long shared tables and lots of fondue (with lots of garlic) -- in fact I didn't... More

Packed with tons of students, but lots of older people, as well. Fantastic food served on cheap dishes where you order at a counter and take the food to a table if you can find one. Lots of people took their food to other places on the long pier. Everything we had was great, but we didn't have fondue, which... More

We have meant to go here for ages and we finally did. It's amazing! Probably best fondue I have had, such a fun environment on the long tables, pretty good prices. I would LOVE to see their cheese and bread delivery in the morning!

This place is great, basic fondue without frills eaten elbow to elbow with the neighbours. Cash only. Toilets verging on the third world. Tuesday night in January and heaving so best to book unless you want to eat late. Combine with a sauna and a dip in the lake next door?

Always popular, I really like the fondue here, one of the best in Geneva and at a good price too. The salads in summer make this place a year-round favourite.

If you happen to be in Geneva during the winter months and want to try excellent Fondue, visit the unassuming and very casual Le Bain des Pacquis. You will eat at long bench tables, shared with other diners, in a friendly and noisy environment but the Fondue - made with champagne - is light and moreish.

Unpretentious but renowned for fondue, one of the best in Geneva. Comes with salad and desert and goes well with a Fendant!

Ate with a group of friends at the "Buvette", this place hasn't changed since the last visit in 1984. A bit complicated as you have to order out at the counter and the fondue, wine, dried beef, pickles and onions are brought to your "canteen style" table. Last night was rather cold and perfect weather for a great Swiss cheese... More

I loved this place! It's simple, alfresco, fun dining at its best. We booked a fondue dinner in advance (advised to book early as its very popular), but decided on the spur of the moment one cold but bright morning to try breakfast. Freshly juiced (while you wait) apple and ginger juice, bircher muesli, toast from homemade bread and the... More
