Ok, the "buvette" may look nice and prices low. But be aware that they sell HORSE dried meat instead of beef dried meat... since 15 years without informing their clients! In Switzerland, when you buy dried meat you are supposed to buy beef dried meat NOT horse dried meat! Otherwise it has to be clearly written so that clients are... More

Meeting old friends in Geneva, we had been adviced to go there I thought this would be a proper restaurant.. But no, it's a canteen!! But an amazing one! You pay 2CHF the entrance if the beach, and after you need to find a table, then queue to pick up some food then enjoy the afternoon.. Food is really good... More

Food is not too bad but far too expensive for what it is; always crowded AND you have to pay an etnry fee to the restaurant, this is a world première ! Apparently this fee is not used to renovate any of the buildings that might never been upgraded since 1860. Far better places to visit in Geneva !

Note: This review is only for the fondue. Maybe it's because everyone raves about the foamy fondue at Bains des Paquis, but I had very high expectations for this place. I was disappointed when I ate there, and I will probably never go back for fondue if I can help it. The service was ok, the cured meat platter was... More

The BDP (Bain des Paquis is an institution in Geneva). This restaurant does the job extremely well. There are two occasions to go there to eat: Either for a cheap lunch on the terrace. (The location is just amazing on a sunny day). In addition, the usually-delicious today's special comes at only 14. Chf. A bargain for Geneva, and a... More

After trying a few places for a fondue on a Sunday, and finding them closed, we remembered there was a place near the water. Luckily it was open, and even more luckily, it was awesome. The menu isn't huge but there was soup, and wine as well as fondue and meats. You order at the window outside and then take... More

The place is simple but great ambience. Informal restaurant, good place to chill during the whole year. Summer is crowded but the view is amazing, during winter, is a perfect place to eat cheese fondue, go to sauna or only have the delicious hot wine.

You need to know what you are in for. Very informal. You have to order your food ouside ( in the cold) yourself. Menu is limited. It is cheap. Great ambiance. Surroundings on the lake are beatiful. Place is like from the 50s and decadent. And the cheese fondue is probably one of the best in switzerland!

Fantastic spot on lake Geneva. Very good food for low price. Stunning view from the lake on the city. And more: in summer, bathing in the lake, in winter, sauna and steam bath and excellent fondue at night every winter night

As you well know, Genève is expensive: they might as well charge for the air that you breathe. Thus, to find lunch for 14fr that includes a delicious entrée (mine was a pork medallions in an apricot sauce), potatoes, salad, and bread is a steal. Moreover, the service is fast and good, and the setting is relaxing and on the... More
