cheap, nice, no surprises

great place to go to have a warm meal for a decent price, never disappointed with the food, I have been there some few times accompanied and by myself, easy to mix in the crowd without feeling awkward. For 16 CHF, you cant be too demanding and yes you do need to wait in the line but it is pretty... read more

Probably among the cheapest options for a hot meal in Geneva (not many of those outside the super-market restaurants). Simple menu, with one dish of the day, so better be there early, to avoid

This is a must do if you are on holiday in Geneva. Sit outside and take in the surrounding vista. Cheap and cheery for Switzerland - value for money and the fondue with a group is fun.

I like Bains des Paquis, it's a chilled out place in the Summer where you can lie/sit by the lake and go for a swim as well as enjoy their plat du jour (between 12-15CHF) which is always delicious. In Winter, they offer a fondue, I like it because it's a different atmosphere than in a restaurant (you have to... More

Breakfast was okay - juice, coffee, muesli..... very swiss and at a somewhat reasonable cost. Sitting on the jetty into the lake, surrounded by the other "bathing" facilities was a nice way to spend a overcast Saturday morning. Lots or locals and tourists. Friendly staff.

We knew that we wanted to do have a fondue in Geneva, so we asked a variety of locals- this place came up again and again as the best (albeit not all of the locals knew what it was called, they all knew it was the one right on the water.) The place is not what you would expect, it... More

I love this place. Proper French food for half the cost of other places in Geneva. Delicious plat du jour , bircher muesli and coffee. I plan to take all my friends and family who visit Geneve here for a real local experience .

Despite the staff said he did not speak English, we managed to make a reservation in English by phone two days in advance. Lucky we did because the restaurant was extremely busy when we got there. The place was basic, we had a table by the fire place so it was very warm. We ordered and paid outside, then the... More

Let's start right away with what you may not like: - it is very crowded at lunch time on a sunny day and you'll queue and you'll have to be smart to get your food quickly (as above mentioned it is the best place for lunch at the lake) - The menu selection is limited And that's it… All the... More

We were taken her over Christmas by seasoned locals who said "this is where you go for fondue". Who can argue with that! We sat at a long table in elbow banging room with the neighbours and steamed up plasticated windows onto the lake brimming with white swans and ate the best fondue I have ever had. Not being local...
