very original!

Since 1930 the Café de Paris, Geneva, serves the one and only menue: green salad, entrecote with herb butter and chips (allumettes) the latter served in 3 portions. A fixed menu of a green salad followed by steak, which you partially cook yourself. Nice atmosphere although the waitress we had was a bit miserable...well she never smiled! Toughest choice is rare medium or well done! Steak was great, had a beer each and it came to 109sfr, which to me was pricey. There is also a restaurant in... More

Café de Paris is a restaurant like no other. The 'one' entrée they serve is one that, before experiencing it, you would say, 'Am I really eating a place with no choices'? That's until you try the beef that you are served, and partially cook yourself. After being seated, your waiter/waitress brings a cooking platter, and sterno, for you. Then,... More

Went in for coffee and dessert. The staff was warm and friendly, plus the dessert was wonderful. Lovely place. I'll be back.

Rapid and friendly service. Arrived without a reservation, but was seated quickly and enjoyed an excellent entrecote and fries. Excellent wine.

Every visit to the Cafe de Paris over 20 years has been virtually the same. Excellent steak with a fabulous butter sauce which has to be the envy of all steak houses worldwide ! The good news continues since we now have a new restaurant in London.

Snowy weather deterred us from venturing to our usual steak place, Relais d’Entrecote. Café de Paris was close by, open and had plenty of tables. The formule is exactly what you expect at these places. The service super fast and efficient, if not over friendly. It’s very touristic, obviously given the location by the gare. The food was okay. It... More

The restaurant is a favourite whenever we are in town. A great place to meet up with friends for dinner, a glass of wine and a chat. AlwYs food to get here a little early as the place always fills up. The tables are close together which isn't a problem, especially when having dinner with a larger crowd as tables... More

I Was there with my family ( 2 adults 2 small children) last week and it was a big disappointment !!! The salad was boring and bland, the "entrecôte" was tough and tasteless. The sauce they put on it was sick and disgusting. The chips where greasy and soggy, the service was poor, the waiter smelled like sweat. After looking... More
