Relaxing place to meet up with friends

The restaurant is a favourite whenever we are in town. A great place to meet up with friends for dinner, a glass of wine and a chat. I Was there with my family ( 2 adults 2 small children) last week and it was a big disappointment !!! The salad was boring and bland, the "entrecôte" was tough and tasteless. The sauce they put on it was sick and disgusting. The chips where greasy and soggy, the service was poor, the waiter smelled like sweat. After looking... More

Like the other comments, there isn't any flexibility with the menu (probably I didn't see the menu at all). You have to come in with an expectation - a busy restaurant with one purpose as captioned and the choice is how would you like it done. What i don't understand is why do they serve it in a hot plate... More

Is the Paris coffee sauce steak is very well it is less expensive than the relay of the steak, but it's not the same atmosphere, restaurant is designed as a Parisian restaurant. You will pass a good time, take a bottle of Bourgogne (France)

The restaurant stems from 1940 [so 74 years back] and remains popular on the same simple meal option and sauce recipe of the then owner, Freddy Dumont. We visited last week as an annual “pilgrimage” and the “non-choice” of green salad, medium rare steak and frites just does it for me. Keep going guys !

if you like beef it's the best steack house of the city, served with a salad and french fried potatoses. The sauce Cafe de Paris is just unique. There is no other meal and you rather have to book a place if you are more than 2.

The Café de Paris (or Chez Boubier) is the quintessential steak frites joint you gotta love. The formula is simple: steak, herbed butter sauce (and you can order more), and fries (and you always get more), that's it, this is not haute cuisine. The atmosphere is loud, crowded, but even if it is mostly tourists (who may be foreigners from... More

They just have one item on the menu: steak with fries. The main point is that it is very well cooked and aboundantly served. It is nice for friends, small groups and solo customers.

This is simplicity at its best. The steak is prepared perfectly and the fries are the best. Simple, quick and delicious.

Possibly one of the best-known restaurants in Geneva, having been around a LONG time. Easy to order - "How do you want your steak - rare, med,. etc." is all you get to choose, except for dessert and coffee, and a choice of good wines. Steak (only sirloin, "entrecote") has been better, and the price is rather exorbitant - nearly... More
