Does what it says on the tin!

Our hotel told us it was walk in, but we were very lucky to get a table, as it was raining outside, inside was almost full with booked tables. She found us a table and said we had 1.5 hours before it was needed. That's fine, because you only need to decide on how the steak is cooked and what... read more

The famous sauce was invented here. This old fashioned restaurant near the main train station serves perfect meat and French fries. Good wine and desserts. The service is quick and friendly

I guess the fact that a McDonalds within spitting distance to CdP, says it all about the eating habits that occupy the world we live in! I was in Geneva for some meetings and took the opportunity to take lunch. Of course, lunch is always going to be the entrecote, but a pleasant enough salad kicked things off before the... More

This restaurant is famos for it's only main dish which is sirloinbeef with herb butter. This dish includes a small green salad and three servings of french fries (Total cost: CHF 42.00) The food is ok but the service is a bit miserable as you don't get the feeling that your are welcomed by heart, if you are a tourist.... The beef was reasonably tender. With its signature butter sauce, it was delicious. Fries were crisp. On previous visits, I found the beef a little tough. But not this time. I enjoyed my meal,

When you visit Geneva, just don't forget to visit the Café de Paris. You would need to be there early or make a reservation, cause many inhabitants and tourists know how good that place is. They have one single dish on the Menue: Entrecôte! First you got served a green salad, then you will be asked, how you would like... More

Geneva is full of hundreds of wonderful restaurants with great chefs and varied menus. So why go to an establishment that only serves entrecote, pommes frites and a nice green salad. Great location, for one. It's only one block downhill from the Gare de Cornavin and surrounding hotels. History, for another. Established in 1939, the art nouveau dining room is... More

Really one of the must-do things in Geneva - for a few people I spoke to as soon as I mentioned Geneva their response related to Cafe de Paris and its menu. The menu is unique in that it is solely steak cooked in a herb and butter sauce, with chips and salad. The presentation is quite nice with a... More

Wonderful, great steak and unlimited chips, with green salad accompaniment - the restaurant serves nothing else ... but expensive. But hey, that's Geneva!

One of the references in Geneva if you want to eat a nice entrecôte with frites served with their in-house secret recipe sauce. The location is very central but not the nicest area Geneva has to offer. however it is very convenient for transport as it is a stone's throw from Cornavin Main Railway Station. It is not cheap but... More
