a must !

when you visit Geneve stop at Cafe de Paris. Only one choice : Steak , salad and french fries , but all of this cooked with the Cafe de París sauce. Second to none ! Fixed reasonable price (tips are not allowed) , make sure you visit the classic restaurant.

Had to go here as I love steak, unfortunately I found myself comparing it with the Entrecôte in Toulouse. Salad nice but lacks the finesse of the Entrecôte, chips nice but not as nice as the Entrecôte too many little bits in my portion. Steak was good but I prefer the thicker steak very thinly sliced of the Entrecôte. And... More

We went in there with our son, and asked for the menu - there is none, all they ask is how you like your steak cooked, rare, medium or well done, and thast's it. They bring bread, salad and accompanying frites, but it is all about meat which comes on a silver platter and is kept warm over a burner... More

Here's the thing... know what you're getting. Salad, steak, fries, and wine. That's it. It's a niche market, for sure. And we wouldn't visit Geneva without dining there! The steak is good and the peppery buttery sauce makes it wonderful. Tourists and locals make for great people watching if you sit outside. The service is professional and quick, but not... More

Taken here by colleagues as a restaurant not to be missed in Geneva. I have been back on a number of occasions and have always enjoyed it. I quite like it on my own for a quick dinner before getting on the train to the airport. No fuss steak with delicious pepper sauce. Nice quaffing red wine to wash it... More

Steak, fries and Café de Paris sauce with wine. That's the menu. Inside or out, depending on weather. On main pedestrian street outside train station - rue du Mont Blanc. Lived down the street for about 4 years. Very busy, locals and tourists alike. A Geneva tradition. I wouldn't recommend eating there everyday unless you want an early heart attack.... More

This is a true classic of the highest standard. The steak with its butter sauce is always of the best quality, the pommes frites are perfectly prepared, the salad nicely sets the tone for the whole meal. The wines are good and reasonable priced. The service is always professional, attentive, friendly and kind (this last adjective is important). I recommend... More

Yet another cracking steak and salad and fries. I visit this place every single time I come to Geneva. Slightly boozy lunch, the house wine is perfect for with the cracking steak. I don't know what I like more of the three ingredients to a satisfying meal. The salad is perfect, you get more fries (just about the only time... More

The best concept ever. No menu. you get salad, Entrecote with proper french fries and you choose red or white wine. And the "secret" sauce has to be the best thing ever. get the steak rare as it cooks on the pan. Great staff and reasonable prices. A must do if you are in Geneva. Book first as it gets... More
