We came during summer and wanted to try fondue in Switzerland of course! However many Swiss will tell you that they don't eat it in summer so this place was a great find. The fondue was good, a little too much wine for my taste but everyone else loved it. Prices are good, especially for Geneva standards. I think fondue... More

Known for fondue and other Swiss food, this restaurant has been around for many years and has made a name for itself.

We found this restaurant using trip adviser. There was plenty of parking in the area to make it easy to walk to the restaurant. We just walked in off the street but apparently they prefer reservations. We were lucky enough to get a table just as the lunch rush was finishing. The service was quick and efficient. The fondue tasted... More

The food was ok, the fondue was great, but the place doesn't have that nice old look i read about, it just looks old and smells bad. The staff is very kind and attentive , the menu is quite rich, and the prices are fair. I'm not sorry I went there but I don't think I'm going back.

If you want a last minute solution to your tummy, that's a good option - big enough to find a place without reservation, service is quick despite the number of customers, food is fine. Enjoy!

The Café de Soleil is an institution - nicely old-fashioned, tasty food and friendly service... and of course the best fondue in town...

This is not a fancy, pretentious place. It serves fondue as well as many other dishes. The staff are helpful and friendly. It is very popular so make sure you book. The food is excellent. I try and visit every time I am in Geneva.

This place is perfect, The manager, Gerard, greats you as a fond friend. He is great. And all the staff is more than extremely welcoming and friendly. The terrace where we sat was spectacular; an old leafy canopy tree swoops over the tables, in a small courtyard on several levels with gravel floors, the setting was just perfect. From the... More

always full sometimes with a waiting line, you know what you get, your salad, good house wine jar, your entrecot avec frites, paper on the table and a fuzzy environment.

I know that this place is famous in Geneva but I was disappointed. The place is very old and dingy. It is a big hall and one has to shut in order to have a normal conversation. It is not a nice place to sit. The fondue is the bid dish here but hey we are in Switzerland here you... More
