VERY SWISS AND NO PRETTY CATS IN BOOTS

Good food. Not a lively place. Entertainment was provided by the staff, every person a freak in itself. The waiter was very short, the sommelier may have been better suited for farm work, the waitress bore a striking resemblance to a parakeet.

So!!! The food is exceptional and is really a pleasure every bite you have... "Classique French style" perfectly done. Nothing of "Author's signature". That's maybe the reason I found it overpriced. There is no experimentation or fusion at all. 80€ for a starter or a main course it should brings you a bit more from the Chef in my point... More

Ok, so it was Valentines Day and every restaurant in Geneva was full. We booked a family dinner and agreed to pay the exorbitant price for the fixed St Valentines 'romantic dinner' menu. Once our wine orders were taken, it took 25 minutes for the wine to actually arrive at the table, despite the restaurant being only half full. The... More

Everything is just perfect from service to food, especially this "Lièvre à la Royale" which was just outstanding. A memorable evening in the cosy atmosphere of the wonderful Beau-Rivage hotel. Probably one of the very best restaurants in Geneva. A drink at the piano bar is a must before dinner.

We were passing through Geneva and spent a couple of nights at the Beau Rivage. Geneva is a not known for its restaurants (several one-stars but no two or three stars) and we opted to "eat in" (i.e., at the Beau Rivage's "gourmet" restaurant) on our second night and we were very pleasantly surprised by every aspect of the dining... Try the 'Earth and Sea' chef's menu. It will blow your buds. Wash down with the appropriate wine selection. The 'Autumn flavours' - mushroom fields forever. Fantastic dining.

A pleasant, but disappointing experience. The style is very classical, but not compelling. The dishes seemed dated, nothing contemporary. We opted for the truffle menu and really liked 2 of the 8 dishes. The others showed no "edge". The restaurant dealed with our late arrival very professionally. However, the staff seemed disengaged. The sommelier didn't know that the wine he... More

I ate here for my birthday as part of a surprise from my wife. We had previously eaten at Den Gouden Harynck in Bruges, Number one in Edinburgh, Maze in London and Cobea in Paris within the last 12 months. Having gained a fairly large amount of experience of these establishments within the last year, I expected this to be... More

Le Chat Botte is one of the best restaurant in Geneva but it's the best French restaurant in Geneva. It's French and contemporary cuisine by the Chef Dominique Gauthier, one Michelin star and 18/20 in Gault et Millau.
