Outstanding menu d'hiver

This is a superb experience on a trip to Geneva. Yes, you will find less expensive places but it is well worth the price. Dinner for 2 around £350 which is fairly expensive. This included a fairly unimpressive Hendricks and tonic (only lemon and ice) for around £22. The set menu was indicated... read more

I have been going to this restaurant for years. It has always been and still is the luxury, refinement and creativity of menu engineering. Simply excellent. But, it is one of the most expensive for dinner. So, take advantage of the very special lunch menu at very affordable prices and go there whenever you feel like spoiling yourself.

The restaurant creates a sense of belonging. The service was really 5 star : the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. We changed certain meals in the menu and the staff was flexible and understanding. The wine was great and the best 'kir royal' for 2015 I got from this restaurant. Bravo and keep it up.

Had the tasting menu. EVERY course was delicious. Fish choices better than meat. Loved it all. Wine guidance was appreciated and fit the meal well.

Good food. Not a lively place. Entertainment was provided by the staff, every person a freak in itself. The waiter was very short, the sommelier may have been better suited for farm work, the waitress bore a striking resemblance to a parakeet.

So!!! The food is exceptional and is really a pleasure every bite you have... "Classique French style" perfectly done. Nothing of "Author's signature". That's maybe the reason I found it overpriced. There is no experimentation or fusion at all. 80€ for a starter or a main course it should brings you a bit more from the Chef in my point... More

Ok, so it was Valentines Day and every restaurant in Geneva was full. We booked a family dinner and agreed to pay the exorbitant price for the fixed St Valentines 'romantic dinner' menu. Once our wine orders were taken, it took 25 minutes for the wine to actually arrive at the table, despite the restaurant being only half full. The... More

Everything is just perfect from service to food, especially this "Lièvre à la Royale" which was just outstanding. A memorable evening in the cosy atmosphere of the wonderful Beau-Rivage hotel. Probably one of the very best restaurants in Geneva. A drink at the piano bar is a must before dinner.

We were passing through Geneva and spent a couple of nights at the Beau Rivage. Geneva is a not known for its restaurants (several one-stars but no two or three stars) and we opted to "eat in" (i.e., at the Beau Rivage's "gourmet" restaurant) on our second night and we were very pleasantly surprised by every aspect of the dining...
