This is a lovely brasserie hidden away in downtown Geneva. Its large capacity makes the service seem a touch impersonal, but they are certainly very prompt and accomodating. With the seafood being prepared outdoors, by the entrance, it promised well. My colleagues both thoroughly enjoyed their meals but i was let down by my choice of couscous to ward away... More

Open 7/7 early til late hours, wide selection of dishes at all prices, old time waiters, busy some time noisy ambiance, but It is a brasserie after all. Seafood is famous, wine list is wide, Summer terrasse is a must!

After living in Geneva for over 4 years taking some people to lunch and dinner at Lipp as they asked for it because they heard from a 3rd party that it was good I took them only to understand that they were not satisfied and blamed their friend for suggesting it and me for bringing them. Why did that happen?... More

This was my second visit to Lipp, the first being excellent, and on that basis I have recommended it. This time the food and atmosphere was as wonderful as the first, but was spoiled by a very rude waiter, I have eaten in restaurants all over the world and I have never experienced a waiter like this, yes it was... Very good brasserie open 7/7 (good in Geneva) and never empty (good because always lively but crowded as tables are small). Wide choice on the menu (if you like seafood this is THE place), everything is fresh and very good. And of course. fresh and good means not cheap. Could be a bit cheaper though, but there are some less... More

This is our favourite spot for late night dinners in Geneva, and it remains so after many years. As usual, the oysters were delicious, the bisque de langoustines a delight and the main course (crab) perfect. The wine list is very good, and exceptionally strong in French wines. Many of the French wines are also surprisingly accessible for a restaurant.... More

This was a wonderful gastronomic experience!!! I did research ahead of time via the phone, talking to other fine restaurants that I tried to book a reservation with, but they were all closed on Sunday's (and Sat too). When this was recommended a second time, I thought we better try it, especially since there weren't many choices for a Sunday... More
