So worth it! Love the pizzas and the pasta. The Nutella is definitely worth a try. Delicious! You might have to wait a bit to get a table as they don't make reservations.
I've visited this restaurant probably 20 times now. It's one of the only places in Geneva that has a real city 'buzz' to it. This is mainly because it's packed, everyday, from open until close. One of the great things about Luigia is it's consistency, with flavor, presentation and service. I usually order the same pizza when I come (pizza... More
This Italian restaurant in Geneva was recommended by a Greek girl who lives in Geneva as a good combination of price-quality and it really is as the majority of restaurants there are really expensive! We had a pizza and carbonara and a glass of wine(smaller portion always than in our country)and 2 beers(in a beer-glass)and paid around 54 euro which is... I've been to Luigia many times. Luigia is a pizza institution in Geneva and if you go knowing what to expect you won't be disappointed. If you're looking for a cozy, quiet place, then look elsewhere. If you're looking for good value, look elsewhere. If you want no-compromises pizza - as I said probably the best in Geneva - and... More
This restaurant is entirely staffed by Italians which adds to the atmosphere. You can't reserve (which is a bit of an issue) but once you find the entrance which is tucked down a passageway you come in to a bright and buzzing eating area. Food is very good and arrives quick. Be careful with some portions as they are very... More
Good food, nice staff, good atmosphere, but value for money? No, no no no no.... Ok, so it is expensive. Fine. If the food is worth it. But they just take advantage, and ream you, and frankly, that's just not nice. We went with kids, so a ball of chocolate ice cream please . 6 Swiss francs???? well, do you... More
If those are the attributes you like, this place is for you; you also get to pay top $ for in house sodastream water (no bottled water argument covered up under eco-friendliness, not to be confused with eco-nomical for the customer here); Iprefer Home cooking and tap water, or more humble/genuine trattorias (not easy to find, I admit)
Long wait - you have to be patient - as you cannot take reservations, but the food is absolutely great. Perfect for young couples and group of friends. Can get a bit loud at times depending where you sit. Everything we had was really to die for and well presented too. Yummy! I will definitely go back.
Their system to not reserve a place is a disaster. When you are arriving you must wait until a table is free, but when you are waiting the others people eating are stressed by the waiters to finish early and the result is a big unease in the restaurant. But the worse is sometime a client knowing the Capo, arriving... More
A real experience, all pasta and pizza specialities from Napoli are available. Recommend Chiacchieri with Mozzarella di Bufala as starter, Pizza Petali and Pizza Nutella for dessert.
