You can find much better place in Geneva to eat. Everything we got was overcooked. Desserts were very average. Would not recommend to anyone.

The Lacustre we always visit is the one in Bellevue on the way to Lausanne, at Route de Lausanne 336. Wonderful perch from the lake and some beef as well. It's right on the lake outside Geneva about 3 miles or 6 km. This Le Lacustre must be new since I've been back to Geneva. (Used to live there.) We... More

If your goal is to have a good view on the lake and eat in the restaurant, LE LACUSTRE IS THE TYPICAL TOURIST TRAP where you will pay a lot of money for a very bad food. Walk a bit more in the direction of "la Place du Molard" and choose a restaurant there. It will be 100 times much... More

Choose this restaurant for the view. The food is decent but nothing out of the ordinary and considering the price, there is room for improvement. I find it amazing the differences in staff behavior when it comes to Geneva establishments. Either they are professionals with excellent training, or either rude " je me fais chier" kind of attitude. Although we... More

The only good thing is the location. Mixed sea grill was uneatable dry nearly paper taste. Friendly waiter but bad service too slow. Lousy overall. Unless you hate food and you prefer a nice location.

I have been here several times. Sort of spot my foreign friends just adore. Generally speaking the food is good, that is until there is a problem. When things go south it seems that the only option for staff is "denial" Last time we were served a different, cheaper, wine than that ordered. No mention to us. We noticed and... More

On reading some other reviews it makes me wonder if we were in a different restaurant. Location of this restaurant is great. We had a lovely table outside, under the shade and overlooking the lake. The service was good, a friendly waitress, and we didn't have to wait. We both had chicken and shared a green salad and potato dish.... More

Yes it has great location and looks classy... On our first day, decide to stop for a beer, which we managed to order after waiting so long that we were about to walk away (something noticed immediately by restaurant staff), beer was refreshing and cold, should have left it to that. In the evening we walked back, OUR MISTAKE. Service... More

Le Lacustre is directly on the lake next to the Mont Blanc Bridge and the Quai General Guisan. It good be one of the top spot in Geneva but the poor service and the food place it far from the TOP of Geneva's best restaurant... I was disappointed from A to Z: the salad, the fish etc... nothing was good... More
