Wandered by this place while out walking and looking for a place to eat. Loved the location on this beautiful September evening. There were 3 in our party and we each had something different. The gnocchi dish was really nice. The gnocchi were firm and cooked just right and seasoned well. My pasta dish with mushrooms was also very tasty.... More

Without a reservation on a Saturday night during the Davis Cup tennis tournament, the staff found a way to accommodate us. The location in Geneva is unparalleled; right on the water with outside seating. The food was excellent and served timely. The risotto is wonderful. The wine list is complete with good choices at most price point. Our waitress, Christelle,... More

We each had a nice pasta dish in the lovely outdoor seating area, which is a great spot by the lake. The food really was delicious, and was reasonably priced. unfortunately I can't be as positive about the staff, very abrupt and unnatentive, took what felt a lifetime to take our order in what seemed like quite a quiet period... This unfortunate restaurant is positioned at the best location in geneva, but has below average performance, they have a large menu with lots of variety , which i think make them unable to master their job, Their tomato soup is excellent, their salad is very good , their interecote cocked to perfection but, the meat has some hard fat and... Ate dinner with a friend. Ordered a burrata cheese, which is rare to find. Asked to confirm that it was going to be a burrata and not a mozzarella. Was explictly reassured by the waiter. Was served....a sliced mozzarella! Asked the waiter (different one) whether that was a burrata and she said 'absolutely!' Either she was badly trainer or she... More

To give more emphasis on my review, I live in Geneva and most of the restaurants here serve good food. However, Le Lacustre should be the only restaurant in my natal city to serve bad food in addition of having expensive prices and a very bad quality service. I went there with friends. The waiters were rude and served the... More

The position of Lacustre is perfect, and let's face it there isn't many places to sit eat and drink by the lake without visiting one of the super expensive hotels. Unfortunately it's position is probably it's only plus point. The food is bland, cripplingly expensive for what you get and the service is poor. The view of the lake and... More

You can find much better place in Geneva to eat. Everything we got was overcooked. Desserts were very average. Would not recommend to anyone.
