Good sized portions but main courses too salty

We ordered a focaccia for starters to share (there were 2 of us), then for mains a king prawn lemon risotto and prosciutto pizza. The focaccia was not the soft doughy type I am used to, but a thinish pizza base with some salt and rosemary and not enough olive oil. The king prawn risotto was not... read more

Yesterday while passing the restaurant I opened tripadvisor and I saw bad ratings so I decided to eat at the pizzeria across the street, food was terrible and so was the service. So today I decided to eat here, best service and Italian food ever, I would recommend eating here more than any other place in Geneva

We were here for dinner in July 2015. We didn't have a reservation, but luckily we were able to get one the last free tables near the lake. I would recommend getting a reservation, if possible. The restaurant has lovely views of the Lake. The food is pretty average. We ordered a Vegetarian Pizza - which was 12 inches, crust... More

The location and views are great, food okay, nothing special but good. Pastas 20-30 CHF, Geneva standard. Good size portions. Service good and attentive, we were even slow to order and I never go to a restaurant in a rush so really do not mind waiting 20 mins between the courses, aperitivos etc. Nothing to complain.

Fantastic location on the lake near the river bridge. Views of city and river. Service was very poor. 20 minutes from arrival to first drink being served. They wanted ( we refused ) for starters for some of our table to be served at same time as main course for others. And there were other issues. Food was reasonable. Some... More

Took the bus down to the center of Geneva for dinner one night. It was Sunday and a bit late. Not too many places. We stumbled upon Le Lacustre and decided to give it a try. Location is quite good. We decided to eat family style. We shared a caprese salad and some bread to start. Both were very good... More

I should have consulted this site before dining at this Italian restaurant, because I have to agree with the numerous reviews about the average expensive food and absolutely terrible service. First, the reviewers were not exaggerating about the bad service. I asked for a menu and a bottle of water for the table, and the server brought me the bottle... More

Yes, it's not an inexpensive place to eat, but eating anywhere in Geneva, on the whole, is an expensive ordeal. The service is not great either, but many places in Geneva verge on rude, so I just deal with it. I've found that service staff in Geneva generally expect you to treat them with respect, and the service they deliver... More

Stopped here for Sunday Lunch while in town on business. Many places are closed on Sunday and one place I stopped seemed bothered that I inquired about eating. I came upon this place near the waterfront. It was great service and a very nice salad and bread. Service was better than many. Overall a pleasant experience.

You would expect a place in this location to have really good service and food. You would not be disappointed. I was impressed with the friendly service and the food was above average. We had smoked salmon with pasta and it was delicious. The atmosphere on a sunny weekend next to the Rhone and views of the jet d´eau is... More
