Go here only if you are missing Japanese food during your visit to Geneva. The chefs prepare Sushi in front of you, thats the only upside. Service is OK but the decor looks worn out. Not a great place to entertain but cannot complain about the food.

A good japanese restaurant with a very good sushi and honest prices. A nice experience in a adequate location, close to the railway station.

This spot always tailors to fresh stunning sushi. Unfortunately over the years there has been a slow downhill and the initial overall dining excellence has dissipated. Even though the food remains great. On a recent visit, we were handed a tattered menu which had an oily feel to it. For a spot that serves "fresh & pure", the unhygienic menus... More

For land-locked Geneva this is not a bad place to get decent sushi. Lunch menus are a better value - I doubt I will be going for dinner but I may return for lunch. Decor is nice, if a bit dated and bland, and the restaurant is quiet and small. Not far from the train station - a five minute... More

Sansui is the only real japanese restaurant (that I have personally tried) in Romandy. Yes it is pricey, yes they serve sushi (how original) but they have other dishes like unagi-don, zaru soba etc. I can't speak for their sushi as i usually never have sushi outside of japan (even less in a city far from the sea!). It's my... More

I am sorry but i was dissapointed. The only good thing was dumplings. It is too expensive and sushi quality was just bad. I rather eat at more european knockoff.

Nice restaurant located in a quiet narrow street in the "cave" district of Geneva. Nice noodle soup with tempura and fresh sushis. Good place if you look for fresh Japanese food in a restaurant much less crowdy than its competitors downtown. As usual a bit pricy like most Japanese restaurants. Not a fan of sushi, but willing to learn to love it -- this is a restaurant to convince. Small, intimate, with discreet service, Sansui offers beautifully prepared and fresh food, in combinations for those unfamiliar with sushi. Recommended, as a restaurant in a part of the city that is on the turn, as a place to visit and revisit,... More

This is a nice casual-ish place for sushi and larger groups with long tables, were able to stay quite late.

I went to Sansui last night with a friend for dinner and after seeing all the rave reviews on tripadvisor I really thought I would be in for an amazing meal. The food was just alright. We ordered edamame and gyoza which were good but these two things are not hard to mess up. Then we ordered four different sushi... More
