Classy Italian Cuisine

The Lorenzini fully lived up to my expectations, given the Bindella-brand and the price tag on the meals. The location is spacious, but super packed during lunch time - reservation mandatory. I had a saltimbocca with risotto. The meat was good, but the risotto was cooked to perfection.

The ambiance in this place is really nice and classy. I ordered one of the risottos with a glass of wine and sat in one of the various spacious rooms they've got upstairs. The light and the decoration were very fine and pleasant. I've got to say, great experience all in all. There's something legendary about this place, I felt...... More

There is no shortage of cheap, middle-of-the-road restaurants in Bern. Lorenzini is certainly not one of them. Despite of belonging to a chain of restaurants it retaines its character and constantly delivers good quality food and top-notch service. On my most recent visit, however, there was a slip, which should not happen in a restaurant of this calibre. My "Bistecca... More

I love this place because it never changes. And I always order red bean salad for starters and Capelletti with Burro/Salvia as main dish. Never change a winning dish. The head waiters have been the same for many years and the interior decoration is tastefully Italian. Exquisite wine list and atmospheric bar on ground floor, filled with beautiful people. Mind... The food and wines in Lorenzini are exquisite. People in Bern already know this, but visitors to Bern may be drawn to some of the mediocre or adequate pizzerias that are prominently visible on the street in the Altstadt. Lorenzini is centrally located but perhaps not as obvious to a visitor. If it is sunny, there are seats outdoors, but... More

My partner and I had a lunch here with our tour group in September 2013. It's a three-course meal, the portions they served for each course were not big, but they were absolutely delicious, we could still feel comfortably full. The salad we had as a starter was so fresh and crispy, which then followed by the chicken breast with... More

Well it may look a lot like a Parisian café / bistrot, they may well serve wine, but Paris it ain't! In this tiniest of capitals, it never ceases to surprise me how fast establishments think they've reached the pinnacle of hospitality and style, and that somehow this allows them to take on a blasé French level of service. In... More

I organized a group dinner and it worked out perfectly. I was a bit worried because there wasn't much space for business groups for dinner, but I have to say they have a very good organization and the restaurant has 3 parts: the café and the bar-pub in the ground floor and upstairs they have the restaurant with 2 very... Lorenzini and du Theatre both near the Casino place, Bellevue Palace Hotel and Federal Building are, i'm sure the two most well known restaurants under the locals, in the old city of bern.
